I will be hoping to better my 3rd place in the inaugural urban cyclocross. I suspect this year will be a touch tougher, with fewer strange traffic lights.

Ha! I see PhotoBen is on the introductory vid in full penguin gear.

How does one go about entering urban cyclocross???
-
• #36
And if anyone has a folding bike I can borrow/rent/thrash I will enter the folding race in fully LFGSS kit

• #40

-
• #41
wicked! good news. Who will be riding then? it was a shame there weren't more entrants last year...
-
• #42
I won't be representing LFGSS at the cyclocross race this year, as I'm going to be in American (again, sigh)
-

No Urban Cyclocross is seems this year, unless I'm missing something on the website. TBH it seemed strange from the off when there was no timing for it on the original iteration of the website. Anyone else know anything different?

Was thinking of coming down after work, but would rather bike up than take public transport. Obviously don't want to leave it locked anywhere though, so is it going to be too much of a ball and chain and resign myself to the trains? Presumably I won't get near the course with a bike, but there is enough going on to be a good evening out?
-
• #45
^ If you can get there early enough, there are lots of fences you can lock up to, and then stand on a wall to see. Just bring enough locks.
-
• #46
There's always the option of the standard giant lfgss bike pile guarded by drunk forumengers
-
• #47
Probably looking to leave Kingston around 6 so won't be early. Apparently it's derby day too so nay chance of getting out early. Drunk pileup sounds good enough!
-
• #48
Might be working that day, if not bring on the cyclocross. No penguin this year - will have to find something better. Hoping there will be more people not taking it too seriously this year.

Usual bunch of faceless suits

So, who am I cheering on, and in which race?
Just enter the Track Crit (if it happens). £25 gets you into the semi-inner circle (just not the VIP seating, dammit).
