Is anyone cycling over from the very East? I'm thinking I might brave it and cycle all the way rather than do part on the overground.

Never done it on two wheels before. I'd probably go via Bow Roundabout/ Mile End Road, so could meet you somewhere on the journey.

LinkIf you want to race all you need is a track legal bike (or you can hire one) and need to do an induction which costs £8 and is at 13:00 on every Saturday; moar details. You'd have to do induction a Saturday before this ideally; if you think you are a pro / ex-team GB and dont need an induction then >>>>>>>>>>>> Another important thing to mention is velodrome's wet weather policy; the weather laughed at us last time.
**Entry fee: **£8 mainly to cover velodrome rental and other costs.

Should be fine monsieur.
Is an induction from a previous year OK? Can I bring my own sandwich? Are non stainless steel spokes legal? Does is bar spin? Do I need a high-viz jacket? Can I pay in Euros? Are Miche sproket and lockrings really made of butter? Do you even lift?

Then had a small asthma attack following trying to win the sprint race 5 laps out.
Which is all well and good but I don't suffer fro asthma..Still coughing now... which is a worry as its on the list of things my brain surgeon told me avoid doing if possible.
Paul, asthma is a continually growing problem in the population. You've probably heard of London's worsening air quality and particular incidents recently.

It is entirely possible that you may be in the next-sensitive cohort. :(
I've myself found myself coughing recently from what I clearly felt was bad air quality.
London's population has been increasing relentlessly and the Mayor has taken no initiative whatsoever over bad air quality.
Hope you get it sorted out!
