Yeah I probably am (had to Google the word - though it was a type of goblin from WoW) but hills are in the countryside, and steep. Whereas Herne Hill is close, and only has banked turns.

Yes you'll need drops but a positive rise stem and compacts should make your Burls rideable on track.

I'm going to pootle round at the back, so you have nothing to fear from my inexperience unless you lap me...

Since I'm in Cambridge the plan is to do the induction the day before, stay at a pal's in Honor Oak, not drink too much on Saturday night and then ride over on the Sunday.

Beyond learning the rules, it's just riding round in circles, right? ;)

A few of us did it with out too much track experience last year, if you've done the indiction and are used to riding in a tight group I think you'll be fine.

As long as you get your induction done it shouldn't be a problem, but there's no reason at turning up and risking injury to yourselves and others if you aren't up to it.
