Not enough.
This. Always.

impressive
New drive chain, £140, two £25 services, no lights this year, just a Raleigh triple pannier. Bloke in Freeman's says the roadies change their drive chain every 3000 miles. Madness.

Not enough. Need to do more and more.

Not enough.
^
I counted four chains changed in 2013.
-

800 miles. More than any other year.
More this year please. -

Perfectly normal, even if you look after your chain, they'll wear out in the end.

2200, but with large periods of inactivity... and of course, this didn't include commuting, not until my 30 mile each way commute started in November anyway and also I didn't ever record pootling around town.

£140 for a chain?

drive chain.

drive chain.
It should be drive train or drivetrain!
-
• #37
Probably just over 10,000km. Nearly all commuting and pootling about town.

drive chain.
*Yes... *
What might that chain be, for a commuter bike? -
• #39
15000km
-

And only 10,000 of those were imaginary

I only do around 2,000 miles per year but change my chain each spring. It gets muddy, gritty, wet all through the winter so having a nice new chain in the spring going through summer and autumn is nice.

10781 miles. 1219 short of target :(
Did manage the coast-to-coast-to-coast though, which has been a personal target of mine for a while.

10,055 miles
Was feeling impressive until sanddancer got in before me...
-
• #44
5500 miles.
Was aiming for 6000, but dropped off in autumn.
-
• #45
Only 2793 miles according to strava, but can hardly ever be bothered to record commuting or track training, so hopefully the real figure is double that.
-
• #46
About 4290 miles, not including the sessions I did at HH. Still, it's 1000 more than last year, which is nice. Was feeling rather proud of myself before I saw how many the rest of you lot have got in, but such is life...

not nearly enough, and TBH actually no idea, Strava says 2000 but thats only the rides i remembered to use Strava, battery didn't die, didn't include 10 days of touring and didn't include commuting or polo.
So anywhere between 2001 and 5000 miles probably, all wasted though as I haven't really ridden since october :(

^True lfgss member, not ridden for four months, but still posting!

1,249 miles. Not happy with it, but that's what happens when you rely on Ribble customer service to get your frame back to you, replaced, sooner than 3 months after you start a claim.
Hoping to get 4x that done this year

I'm not even going to post my pitiful total this year. First half of the year Uni meant I basically didn't ride. Second half of the year I was just lazy. Must do better.
quite a bit, more than 2012, but less than 2010
