last call. closing today. let the boroughs know what you want the grid to be and where you want it to go:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling/29172.aspx
the more people write in in support, the better argument the councils will have when facing up to aggrieved motorists, cyclist-hating residents etc..

Sadly, a police sign has just appeared recording a fatal accident on Earl's Court road by the tube station - (I've seen two accidents in the past week there and on Old Brompton Road junction)- but there doesn't seem to be any attempt to make cycling safer in this area. Nothing on this important road on The Grid plans. Are there any active members of this forum actively campaigning in K&C? I know there are much more cyclists in East London, but there must be some members who live in or cycle through this area?

:(
Earl's Court Road is another terrible one-way system where the street can be very difficult to cross.
While TfL/local authorities are unwilling to tackle gyratories like this (although RBKC has done some very good work in recent years), one main aim of the grid is to filter useful alignments in the vicinity of streets like ECR that are currently rat-runs, to enhance people's route choice options when cycling.
Altogether different measures are needed to improve crossability of streets for people on foot.
