Looks better without the Planet X forks.

Frame has arrived, special thanks to Yodel for leaving it in the front garden all day
Kind of scum back thing to do but should have just rang yodel like my frame was marked as delivered but I don't have it. Someone nicked my parcel from my front garden because your stupid driver left it there.

Nice.
FYI Given what I've read, raltech covers will be just as fast, if not faster than a cheap disc. I'd get covers.

Nah, Super 9 Carbon Clincher is the only way to go. You can even get a free training tyre if you buy from Probikekit, or get it for under £1600 today from Tredz with voucher code FREE125

Or. Get the Raltech and go to the tunnel for 3h.

All go no show.

Headset arrived so threw on a few bits. It's looooooong, and don't think i'll need much stack on the extensions. Need to get a SLS headset cover off tester.
Won't be any progress for a while, next on the list is some cranks, been eyeing up TM's 7710s.

That saddle isn't staying, is it...?

• #36
What's wrong with the Adamo?
-
• #37
Wrong shade of blue? I'd like a black one, but I'm struggling to justify the £120 expenditure when that one only cost me £40.
-
• #38
I've got a black adamo, podium I think in mint nick that I've been meaning to sell... Worth a try? Not as cheap as £40 but considerably less than £120... Shape doesn't work for me, too wide at the front.
PS. Love the project, big fan of the frame colour, looks fast. Can negotiate a little on cranks if you want, got a road bike to fund. Have you drilled the forks?
-
• #39
Cheers, yeah the colour is great, more so in the flesh. A podium might be a bit narrow at the nose for me, I'll drop you a PM after Christmas to discuss things.
Forks aren't drilled, and I don't think I'm going to risk it. It's a shame because I love how they look.

First look I thought you'd bought the wrong size. I expect now you're coming around to that view :-)

I think Ordinata may be looking to shift his stem if that's the case....?
-
• #42
It's not just the too long reach, the stack is too high too. Ordinata's stem isn't going to fix that.
-
• #43
Nevar. Bossman Control Tech stem stays put for now.
The Planet X does look very long in TT.
Try a TT seat post / extensions etc?
-

Try a TT seat post
We've only just got him sitting on the saddle properly, cocking that up by trying to fix a reach problem by moving his arse (always a dumb idea, by the way) isn't going to help.

WHat's teh position like? You need to get training in it, so you can adapt.

If upsidedown isn't interested in this I would be.

Have you got those Chinese tt bars on it? Thoughts on them - am thinking about a set for my casati

Difficult to tell without cranks on, but it feels ok. Hopefully the longer TT should stretch my back out and make it flatter. As soon as I get cranks it'll be on the turbo.

Not yet, just my old Zipp/Deda Parabolica setup.

Akward selfie of what my position should look like, I'm quite pleased with it.

It's backlit. Do it again from the other side of the bed ;)

I was hoping for more...
please do email planet x to ask them to stop using yodel, I shall be sending a similar email today, yodel are fucking useless
