  • Mmmm that's a beast.

  • Buys Slam-dat-Stem headset cover, sticks scoblestack on top of it.

Presumably the plan is to drop the base bar back down when you get the big risers for the tribars?

  • Oh turn the brake lever horizontal. Extra gains. Over vertical.

  • Forks have arrived. Crown race is being stubborn.

Get someone to take a video on turbo or rollers. While doing an effort, front and sides. So we can see.

Looks nice!! Clincher or tub tri-spoke?

Will do, want to play about with position a bit first. Clincher.

    Yes, should arrive tomorrow.

Tempted, but I'm not sure how it'll impact braking power.

  • Oh turn the brake lever horizontal. Extra gains. Over vertical.

Got any evidence for that? To me it seems that the pressure on the lever bracket is unchanged, but you mess up the flow approaching the base bar. Also, you end up with a brake you can't use, and running into the side of a car which pulls out in front of you is a less attractive idea to me than saving 1s in a 50 mile TT, which is likely the order of gain to be had, if any.

  • None. Beyond what I've seen some people who like to measure these things do. Steve I among otjhers.

  • And you can use the brake fine.

  • Zipp bits arrived. Will probably go lower in the summer, but this feels low enough for the time being.

    Shit side on gif.

  • The extensions look pissed. Or is it camera angle?

  • The result of hasty installation.

  • no powercordz?

  • Not yet, i'll get round to it after exams.

  • That cable and brake arm hanging out in the breeze is killing your aeros more than anything you can do with the lever, ask your family for TriRig for your next birthday.

  • Omega is on the wishlist, hoping to find one second hand for around £100. Which is still a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a brake. What's the reckoning on the aero saving, I heard around 5w?

  • Something of that order, compared with generic side pull dual pivots. At least half of that is from the cable, you can sometimes find Shimano 600AX (BR-6300) for not much money which get you most of the gains.

  • Someone was selling those on here recently

  • I have these but I stopped using them because braking power was very poor and the proprietary pads kept pulling chunks of aluminium off my Hed.

  • IIRC, you can butcher modern Shimano cartridge pads to work with AX brakes.

  • Presumably the Dia-Compe AGC-300 are somewhere in the middle aero-wise: better than side pull, but not as good as centre pull?

  • Modding the rear Campagnolo u brake is another option.

    Oh. It was you

  • Yeah, and what I've said about them there probably isn't gonna help me sell them.

  • hijack alert...I've got a pair someone can have for £10 if they want them

  • Had their Dia Compe predecessors in 1982, they didn't stop me then either.....
