  • I love a big bag.

  • Still needs a mudflap or two.

    100%,
and did I see you riding a mercian around the london nocturne or was i imagining things?

Afraid the huge size will affect the handling noticeably.

    Such troll

  • Yeah you did!

    Passhunter looks rad btw.

I've been making mine out of that thick bottle stuff that caustic soda or bleach comes in, flexy but tough. My advice, which I forgot to take myself, is cut the flap way too long especially for the rear, fit, and then cut down to the right length.

  • Thought so! I saw you as I was walking back to the station, before the mens elite had begun as I was feeling awful. Had a total mind blank when I saw you then realised haha

Cheers, I'll keep that in mind :) Although I'll probably try to find some poncy strip of leather, gotta match the collars + cuffs

  • I'm actually quite genuine, it's fine to ride a front rack on normal bike, but go over says 4kg, it'll be noticeably slow to handle and respond.

  • try roofing rubber sheets, works nice

  • ^^I'll remember not to bring my D-lock on mille cymru :p

  • Attaboy.

  • Don't suppose you've got a close up of your dynamo light mounting have you? Considering setting a similar approach with a different light

  • Yeah did have one on the last page but the imageshack hosting has died, will take another and get it up.
My bracket is very similar to this though, a shitty weinmann brake caliper arm cut in half and sanded down. Will make another slightly longer one soon though, so my light clears the bigger ironweed orpington bag better

  • It's been a while, still going strong. Haven't done an audax since Jan though.

  • Looks great.

How have you found the mudguards?

  • Yeah they're great, no complaints about them at all (bar the eye watering price haha)

Other full length mudguards I've used have been good as well though, they may not be as light and look as good though (VO do a nice set)

  • Bump, still got this?

  • Yeahh, spends most of its time in the garage though now I'm driving to commute and too lazy to audax.
On the agenda is new saddle (bent in a crash ages ago) and get back out audaxing again (starting almost from scratch, out of practice)
