Horrible news. Actually unbelievable.
No, it's very believable. It's real and it's happening on a street near you.
RIP rider.

RIP, my tears are for this guy's family and friends.
I have just been to scene with the BBC, it happened just before Commercial Street, Leman Street junction with Whitechapel High Street. A few yards from where Philippine de Gerin-Ricard was killed in July. The Standard have updated their story:
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/fifth-cyclist-killed-in-london-in-nine-days-as-boris-johnson-warns-riders-against-risky-decisions-8938505.htmlIt includes a curious comment:
TfL believes the cyclist had come from Leman Street and rode across rather than along Cycle Superhighway 2 when he collided with the westbound bus.
It is hard to correlate that with the pictures published and on twitter.

Leman St is one way southbound?

Leman St is one way southbound?
Yes, two lanes but one-way going South. Part of that inhuman Aldgate system.

Maybe it was because I saw the accident scene last night but on my ride home today all I could think about were those that have recently lost their lives and also just getting myself home safely. It was a pretty emotional ride as I went past 3 of the accident sites. I felt truly vulnerable for once. Almost as if there was this dark energy out there just hovering over all of us.
Anyone else feeling this right now?

For sure. I get all antsy if I don't hear from my lady because she cycles and I assume she's been run down.
In short, I feel vulnerable like never before!
