If you have the budget and like the frameset then why not? But tbh I would buy a cheaper frame and invest the rest of the money on coaching.
Felt Tk FRD is awesome and you can get a 2014/2015 model for a steal. Fuji Track Elite is also a great frameset with an awesome price.
I've ridden all 3 bikes and many more at the track and all of them are very stiff and responsive. The Tk FRD would be my choice tho

Thanks, but if I was going budget (which probably will be the case unless the TR01 come back in stock) I'll probably end up going back to BMC, but with the TR02 instead, just because you get a lot of stuff for that kind of money.
Also I do have a soft spot for a straight TT, and the Fuji and Felt IMO is a tad ugly in my books.

My teammate bought that TR01 btw...

That's nice to some people, and I think there is a one for sale on FB, but unfortunately it's not my cuppa tea

Buy a Dolan, trash it, and when a frame you like become available, ditch it and swap it round.

• #713
I was thinking this atm (but with the BMC TR02)

Why not a Dolan Df4?

Giant Omnomnomnom?

But all the Canyon suffered from "4" as well?

I should be more clearer.
Buy cheap Dolan track bike, trash it, and then buy nice frame when it's available, like the LOOK.

budget...TR02
I don't think you're getting what 'budget' means.
£1750 is not a budget bike, as Ed is saying, a Pre Cursa is a budget bike.

ADR? Probably pass on this one, mainly because I remember there was a thread a while back that a guy brought on a didn't like the quality or the custom service.

Look would be wonderful, the only niggle is that of the seat tube and top tube meet looks really strange and plus what is going on with the top of the seatpost?
So let's start up this thread again...
My track life has pretty much put on hold due to my Part 3 architecture course, but hopefully after some winter training and fitness I'll be back on the track side soon. (especially watching everyone having so much fun on the forum track day)
I have been lurking and looking around for some track frames/bikes atm and the only one that tickles my fancy is the BMC TR01, however, Evans cycles seem to run out on the bike itself and the framset for small is none existent atm.
I could go for the non-carbon options, but after the crackyon, I really would like to stick with the carbon option.
Does anyone know where I can get a small BMC track bike or should I looking for something else instead?
