Man this thread has taken off to a new level, I think the last time a thread a got this much excitement/banter was from @ChainBreaker dolan thread a few years back.
Much thanks to @Tijs for your photoshop skills which kept everyone entertained btw.
Right to get back on track on the build, the Miche chainring is definitely not the way forward and I might need to look around for someone black or carbon. For now @umop3pisdn idea of fibre lyte seems like a good shout, but i'm not too sure about their finish and it might not match the carbon cranks on the look. Ideally I would like a zen s3 track chainring, but cannot justify it yet...
Regarding the wheelset @edscoble made a good point of having two wheelset to race and tarck on. @Tijs can you do a photoshop of the pro track and the mavic io rio wheelset as a comparison for the race wheelset I will get later around next year.
For the tarck wheelset I'm still thinking of the Chinese crabon as I think it doesn't look too bad on the look. (23mm wide & u-shaped) tbh I don't think it looks too bad...
But I am leaning on the idea of having a shallow wheelset too (for those windy and long distance races)

Build training wheel now, as they're cheap as chip to get you started while waiting for the carbon Chinese and the additional charges for import which gonna be shit due to brexit.

You can get away with 20h/16h on the 88mm

Dolan released the Seta again.

You can borrow my 55t Fibrelyte if you want to see how it looks... Zen is a better chainring though I think.

It was/is fun for me as well. :p

There are a lot of PRO wheels. Do you mean these ones?
Mavic iO Rio:
Added them to the album by the way: https://imgur.com/a/7nplX.

Old iO looks so much better than the iO Rio.
Might as well save money and get busy with Aerospoke and electrical tape. -

I was thinking maybe go back to build another set of DA7600 laced to archtype or something on those lines.
But the hear does want crabon, brexit or no brexit.

Yeah blb wheelset is a bad example. The wheelset i'm looking at is 24/28 (incase I get fat over the winter break)

This was my thinking too.

Cheers! Yeah that the pro version.
It's probably going to be down to these two. Just need to get some facts and figures on which of these two are better.

20/24 ABSOLUTE maximum.

Get the Pro Trispoke if you're gonna be racing outdoors

Lol! I agree with the aesthetic side of the old mavic, but I am a sucker for new technology and especially with the new mavic realising that wider is better on the wheelset I will probably go for them than the old one.

Not all of us is super lightweight as you! =(

This is going to be rare, most likely for the nocturne and probably RHC
-
• #1049
I've ridden 50mm carbon with 20/24 spokes even when I was >90kg. 24/28 is overkill

No Herne Hill? Please don't ever race this in a fixed crit.
