And lastly, day off today so chance to finish the Alan. It's nearly there. Bit of cleaning up to do here and there, drivetrain setup and figure out how to cable up the rear delta. My pal has bought 3 or 4 bikes from the basement collection in Italy with c-record and allowed me to choose the cleaner components from across the bikes.

Very x 1000 nice, both. You have displayed and captured them well. I am thinking of getting mine painted if I don't sell it first.

That battaglin and spinella are just oozing high spec Campag, those pedals are dura ace though right? Very nice.
Best leave your Mexico in the background of the shot mind you or the thread hijack police will find you.........and they will kill you ;-) -

there are a couple of ladies' supers & mexicos on flea bay looks like. never knew that ernesto made ladies bikes at all tbh…

Funnily enough the drivetrain came off a 1st gen master. Brakes were off a Gios. I wish I did have another group lying around though.

Yes Dura Ace, Campag ones will be put on soon. The Spinella is one of the prettiest frames I have seen. Do you know much about them? As I cant find much info on them. The stays and forks are profiled, plenty of panto work too. Thanks for the kind words, not easy to find these sorts of bikes.

I must confess until I saw yours I'd not heard of them though. Off to google I went and there's not much info on them is there.
My friend has a super frame the same colour scheme as your Mexico. Its nice, very 80s looking.
Keep the pictures coming! -

Many thanks, are you assuming I have one or two other bikes? I may take a few close ups of the Spinella.
I have a few others to photograph, what camera do you use? The I pad is handy but not great. Also the lighting in the house is crap, must do something about all these issues! -
• #1567
You're right it's all about the lighting! Sometimes my shots are on an iphone and other times on an SLR but mainly folks look at the bike rather than Pixel Peep.

Very nice. And best thing about it, you don't see them often.
Had dura 7700 on an alloy Cinelli once. Really like its smooth lines. Suits it well. -

Interesting, I had a Daccordi for 18 years, a beautiful bike too, perhaps we should start a Spinell owners thread and i wont feel so guilty posting about them here! I somehow think we may be the only ones on the forum with these jewles. And i mean jewls, my frame is the prettiest old bike frame I have seen.

Delved further and found the workshop of dreams somewhere in the Netherlands. Now what I'd give for that little stash of joy. A kidney maybe?

looks like the guy's shed near Den bosch
7800 was later rabo team spec, on bike as J Adams had it
crank arms have a lot of shoe wear, so will probably change them
shifters are pretty worn, and i had result with another pair in better nick that i'll mount at some stage
I don't think I'll bother with re doing the rabo dream cx decor
I contacted the potential sprayer, and I'm sure the most recent quote is quite a lot higher than my original , but I lost the email with it, and i don't think it would ever re coup the cost if sold
so I'm thinking get the most flaky parts off, clean up existing decor, and then clear p0wder coat, to preserve, this then will get 7700
lovely!
