It's like 4 hours of activity in Nov, so you may have already qualified. I've just joined so when they send me my code I can pass on if needed.

Just sent you a code, DJ.

Thank you so much.

How large is the father-in-law? Le Col stuff comes up pretty big. I'm 186cm and 88kg and a Large is fine on me.

Ouch. Dangerous activity that!
Shout if you need anything else - they should be up by the end of next week. -

uuhghh. Horrible. Heal up.

Decent arm warmers without any branding? Even the little Rapha tags annoy me

what is up with the sizing on albion kit
I know it's winter and so am not currently at 'race weight'(TM) but have never had an issue fitting into marques that size small (e.g. rapha PT or castelli) but got one of albion's insulated jackets in my usual size and.... no chance

Feel your pain. Had to send back a long sleeve jersey and base layer last week to size up. No insulated gilets left in a large so I’ll be squeezing myself into the medium but the jersey was looking a bit comical

I’m on the cusp of medium/large with Rapha, but my one piece of Albion kit is XL.

i can see that happening. i don't know where albion is made but had similar experience with maap kit, and other stuff made in the same italian place, which used to be tighter than the tightest castelli. rapha PT is pretty large in comparison.

I went medium on the Zoa jacket. I mainly wear Morvelo in M and would say the Albion M comes up little larger. but happy about that as wearing off the bike too and might have extra layers on

Stumbled on this pretty funny run down of Essex "climbs", turns out they make quite nice kit too.

It is funny, thanks. And the kit is definitely more nice for you then for me.

I’m on the cusp of large/XL with Rapha, but my one piece of Albion kit is L.

Yeah, does mar it a bit. Shame, the rest is good.

It is Essex though

I’ve kept an eye on Blackmore as they’re based not that far from where I live... they’re close but no cigar for me... news Ts aren’t bad at all though

As I can’t find the “bargain cycling kit” thread... Just received some spexcel bibs I order a month or so back from AliExpress. Three pairs - two different shorts and a 3/4 length, sum total of about £60
First impressions are that they’re really good. I can’t fault them, and I definitely can’t fault them for ~£20 each. Plain black well fitting bibs with minimal branding.
Comfy enough for 90 minutes of regents (which is all I’ve used them for so far). Fabric is middle weight on the bibs and heavier on the 3/4s - though I think they do an aero/ summer/ lightweight version. They seem really well made - no odd bits or loose threads or the like.
Time will tell whether they’re comfy over distance (not that I do any these days) and how well they last.

Good to hear - how does the sizing compare to rapha, or our more fatty euro sizings?
-
• #5248
Slightly smaller. I went for large (at 6ft, 72kg), where I tend to be large in Vermarc and medium in Assos and Rapha, and it’s spot on.
Could possibly get into medium but then have problems with shoulder straps being too tight (as is the case with some Italian brands)

I wish you hadn’t introduced me to that Instagram page

Went Albion FKW at the weekend and I’m impressed. Winter tights are comfy and have a thinner material below the knee so not too warm which will extend their use considerably for me.
Jersey feels great quality although they’d sold out of the really nice slate grey one in the time it took to exchange for the correct size so I was in the bright orange one. Good for visibility but does make me look turbo ginger
Someone will have a code you can use. They aren't user-specific and I think you can use them more than once anyway.
