  • Putting on full 7400 as we speak.. need some LA84 bars or similar.. anyone?

Also, a 28.6mm DA fluted or aero seatpost.

  • Very nice! Loving the crazy colours!

  • Is the headset on the Vitus a threaded internal? Never seen that before, looks really nice.

  • yeah, proprietry integrated headset with needle bearings

  • so apollo, what are you doing with all of these frames that don't fit you and where did you get all of them? sorry if i missed that in one of your earlier posts...

  • Just building them up and giving them back...none are mine :)

  • very altruistic of you, are you also building from your own parts? )))

  • Vitus is unreal!

  • Apollo - is building bikes your day job?

    Lovely stuff btw

  • lovin the caarbitubo!

  • Still need a 8 speed DA wheelset and a 26.8 DA seatpost

  • some lovely frames there
i would love one of those masters in the olympic paint

  • Assuming you're running the brake cables along the front of the bar and the gear cables along the back, it would tidy it up to have the brakes in front of the gears.

So if you were looking down from the saddle, you would see the front brake cable at the front, the rear brake behind that, then the front derailleur and the rear derailleur at the back.

You could then shorten the front derailleur outer and the rear would enter the stop more directly. The rear brake outer looks a bit long too (and the front inner a bit short).

Apologies if this is just a mock-up and you knew that already.

Is there a cable pr0n thread?

  • further to ss points

any reason why your cabled 'continental handing' for the brakes?

the rd 'campagnolo' cable is upside down, poor detailing

front brake cable looks too short and should be in front of the rear gear cable

rear brake cable looks too long and should be in front of the front gear cable

    bike 10/10

cabling 5/10 bit of a mess, get a new set of cables and re-do!

  • Thx for the constructive criticism chaps, will look into it...

The continental cabling was by request

  • I do my brakes forrin, for a smoother curve: running the front from the right hand lever, gives a friction-tastic right angle.

Similarly, running the derailleurs into the opposite stops (and crossing under the down tube, as above) gives a smoother curve, but more importantly eliminates cable rub and the need for Helicopter tape.

  • Where can I get NOS or replica hoods for Shimano Santé levers?

    like this:

  • not sure, they do look very similar!

  • Full resto project

  • And this

  • Mate of mine threw one of those Tommasinis in a skip.
