Shit I won this and I think it's a bit too much.
Wasn't expecting to win it at all!!Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292197797023

What do you mean about too much?
-
• #654
It's in great conditions but I still think it should have been bit cheaper, but given conditions, chapter leat BB and BB shell and, possibly, headset it's not that bad actually . I was sure someone else would have bid on it too :)
Anyway glad I've got it, but just too many now :( -

How would you put this on the front fender? The bluemels logo outside and wrapping them around inside or the opposite, logo on the inside of the fender and wrapping to the outside?
I think the first option. Also wouldn't it slide out easily?

Anyone looking for lytaloy parts? 7ven?
-
• #659
Oh my! I have all those bits fortunately and absolutely cannot justify any more investment in Lytaloy. Well, maybe the seatpost clamp. Just need BB cups and an inflator.

Bluemels full mudguards fitted and rear rack removed. I'll double check tomorrow if I got time to fit the Cyclo Ace.
Also leather pads fitted instead of salmon koolstop. Quick ride tomorrow morning to check for squeaking

This isn't "pre 50s", although it is an "old bike".
Maybe the anti thread would be a better home for it :)

Should still be good for tomorrow. Who's going?

A mate of mine is joining, he hasn't got a suitable bike so is borrowing my 4 speed 1948 Gillott meanwhile i will be using my single speed 1951 Gillott.
Just doing some last minute ticketing now. -

sadly looking unlikely. Bit of a full on time at the minute every weekend with kitchen renovations. Hope you all have a good time though. Post some photos up after.

Nice one. Anyone need me to bring any parts?
Would appreciate if some could bring an adjustable spanner as I'm unsure of where mine is post move.
Looking forward to this. -

I played football with friends for two long hours, will come, and will walk uphill :-)
I will bring the bike and, if I find them, puncture patches and a couple of spanners for last minute tweaks I suppose.

F*ck haven't realised there's a train every hour!
With some luck I should be able to jump on the train at 10:04 -

No problem let us know how your getting on.
Mercifully it looks like a wind free and sunny day so far.
Starting to get quite excited about this. Took the Blue Riband out for a very short cruise this morning to make sure the vintage tubs still hold air and that nothing fell off/apart. Managed a short 5km and have lived to tell the tale. I'll dig out a Lytaloy brake and install it but will have to absolutely grind/walk up the hills as I cbf finding a small inch pitch sprocket ring.
