Are those alloy?
They’re rare survivors, look unused.

I use a pair of these on my RRA. They're good in that they're adjustable as well as being nice design, so you can fit differing shoes designs in them, and adjust them according to any toe overlap etc you might get with mudguards. Those BOA clips are lovely. I had a pair that aped that design before but were steel and no where near as nicely finished.

I’ve just got cheap chrome ALE clips on mine. I hadn’t actually considered that originals would get wrecked, because they do scrape when riding fixed and there’s not much you can do about that.

Yes they are alloy & unused!

Here's something you don't see everyday! Palladini Bivalent hubs, new in the box and drilled for 32/40. From around the 1940s

Cor, that’s a rare bird.
Herse and Singer modified Maxicars to do similar, not sure which country was doing it first.
It’s v cool engineering, but I never really saw the point. -

Yeah they are a bit of a gimmick!
I may start spamming this thread with some more stuff, I have loads to share.

Fascinating contraptions, I'd love to see the real machine up close as it's difficult from the illustrations to really understand what's going on, as they are so complicated, or is it over engineered.

I tried to find a photo of one but they seem to be rather rare!

Ahh I missed all these posts, great catalogues. @Nbenja3 now we just need to see your restoration of one of these machines ;)
Those Palladini hubs are way cool. Hilary Stone has a set built in to 27 x 1 1/4 Constrictor rims on his website https://www.hilarystone.com/wheelsclincher.html. Been an idle temptation for a while, but not had a spare £345 :)

Nice Bate's, it looks pre war?
shame about the seat binder slot, however it might keep the cost down. -

Oof yeah, nice, and that repair looks in keeping. I wouldn’t be too stressed by that, if anything good that it’s already sorted. About the top of what I would pay there though.
Thank you, that’s the cage I’m after - pm’d you back :)
BOA clips are 👌 I would cuddle them in bed, I might not risk them on the road!
