Did a good 50 miles today on the Holdsworth, loopy circuit out to Basingstoke. Nice lanes, quiet, got sunburnt, lost for a bit twice. Getting across Reading is well shite though so won’t do that again!
Took the clear off my shoes which worked much better. -

Does anyone recognise this model, or the lugs - they look similar to those used on "Batwing" Bates.

Carlton used Oscar Egg lugs quite a bit but don't recognise them

Myself and five others are riding from Paris to Evelina children's Hospital, ST Thomas'. In August to raise money, see the attachment.
Inspired by this thread and because I haven't really got a modern bicycle I will be participating on my 1948 A.S Gillott, with Simplex gearing.
it's three hundred and three miles over 4 days so should be a fair challenge. My main worry with the bike is the Brooks Sprinter saddle which is rock hard. I may need some extra padding, or I suppose I could change saddles.
Anyway I'm delaying the obvious, which is we need donations, we are looking to make three thousand pounds and have twenty Three percent so far. Please feel free to donate any amount, it wil all be appreciated.

That misspelt poorly listed Ephgrave is still there £60 with less than a day left if anyone can get to Walsall to collect. Surely a huge bargain for someone if it stays close to that price...

As requested @The.Gren
Sorry for slowww response. Anyway the bikes ready to go.
I have a spare saddle in case of rain as I haven't got mud guards and I have had experience of these saddles falling apart after getting wet.
I have varnished the bar tape and purchased a set of quick release Reynolds wing nuts from a vintage bike jumble in Steyning Sussex yesterday.
