My 3 year old nephew is delighted by his engraved top cap. I'm slightly less delighted by the fit on his Islabike Rothan as it uses a 1" AHead stem, so the 1⅛" cap overhangs the top of the stem. As a result, I'm going to make some 1"-specific caps at some point, so if you have tiny bikes in your family, or one of those rare bikes from the transition period where you have a true 1" Ahead stem, now is the time to register an interest. Probably going to be a bit more expensive than the 1⅛" version as I'm not expecting a flood of interest, but the nippers can take their caps with them as they grow into Cnocs and Beinn 20s, as they're 1" too :-)

Only one bike in the household on 1" threadless, and it's got 31.8mm bars.

Surcharge for 1" will be £7.50 each, maybe a bit less if loads of people want them, so £22.50 posted for one cap with normal laser etch or engraved text. @danstuff @Scilly.Suffolk

Sorry if I've missed this but there's a lot of pages to read! What's the current list status for 1 1/8 top caps? Type 2, 3 or 4 all acceptable if that makes a difference. Or can they be done one at a time with no surcharge even with a custom engraving?

You need to be on a list for everything except Type 1 at the moment, as there are currently no ready-anodised blanks. There will be an anodising batch for the 1" caps, so it can be a list of one for 1⅛" :-)

If there will be another batch

1⅛" batch will happen alongside the 1" batch. I'm looking to go to production on September 1^st, at which point the total numbers will be set in stone aluminium. Allowing for the usual lead times on machining, engraving and anodising that's likely to mean delivery towards the end of October.
