2012 team was Wiggins, Froome, Porte, Rogers, Knees, Boasson-Hagen, Eisel, Cavendish, Siutsou
2011 team was Wiggins, Thomas, Uran, Gerrans, Zandio, Boasson-Hagen, Flecha, Swift, Knees
2010 team was Wiggins, Barry, Cummings, Flecha, Gerrans, Boasson Hagen, Löfkvist, Pauwels,Thomas
I'd be interested to know how the 37 year old Zandio has improved sufficiently to make the team for the first time in 3 years, whilst Swift and Kennaugh have lost ground.
And inm the other GTs British representation has been even worse in recent years. 1 rider to the last too Giros, and I think Luke Rowe was the only Brit at last years Vuelta.

"I’m really disappointed. With this team you continually have to prove yourself. I had good form at the Tour of Switzerland, won the Coppi e Bartali race earlier on, but I had a rough patch after the Ardennes Classics and their reasoning is that I’m not consistent enough. I disagree.”
Kennaugh not happy about being omitted from the TdF squadPorte's been consistent, but not in a good way. When is PK out of contract?

Ha, it really is good.

Geraints solo attack to try and bridge the gap to the breakaway was impressive... The whole crowd was going nuts for him everytime he went past and brought he gap down a few seconds, then he faded back into the chasers.... As far as i know he then pulled out with a mechanical?
G slipped a chain at the bottom of Celtic Manor. He'd been on the front since then dragging everyone around and back upto the front.

Garmin have changed their mind about David Millar riding. He's not happy.
I was selected for TdF last week, then they pulled me last night. Wiggo, Dowsett, Pete, Swifty, fancy a city break? I hear York's nice.

Oof! He seemed excited for his parade down the Champs.

Seems a bit mean. I am a bit bored of him though... Listened to the Cycling Podcast faux-interview with him the other day - smug.

He could've just done L2P for that.

Isn't he always?
I did enjoy the piss-taking.

Are we seeing the beginning of the backlash against British cycling?
Tour starts in the UK, most teams with Brits fail to select them for the Tour.

Millar and Dowsett have both been ill. Millar abandoned at the National TTs.

Seems amazing that Thomas and Cav will be the only Brits. Hopefully the Yates' bros will make a late appearance.
-
• #3144
I hope not. Neo pro's who have already had a busy season should not be be at the tour.

Is he contagious?

I hope Garmin crash en masse again. That'll learn them.

I certainly think that British Cycling needs to rethink it's relationship with Sky if it's not going to promote British riders. It hardly seems fair that they should benefit from sharing lottery-funded resources specifically for the development of British talent otherwise...

Not according to his TUE.

Maybe.... http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/white-there-will-be-some-surprises-in-our-tour-de-france-team
And Swifty is out of contract at the end of this season, I do seriously rate him as a puncheur, hope he gets picked up by a good team.
