  • Just fucking witcha

  • Journos on twitter saying he'll confirm he won't ride the Tour tomorrow.
    .

He just won't let Brailsford make the announcement will he?
Given that he was saying he'd rather end up in hospital than not win the TT it doesn't sound like he expects to be at the Tour.

  • He doesn't do so well in the hillier TTs, which TdS and today were. He set that record on training tubs, which shows just how much better all the pros are. Wiggins could do a 16 on a fast course on a good day.

His Giro ITT win wasn't on a flat course.

  • Skinny in 24th there

  • Tough race. Really hard to get into a rhythm and get power out, never TT'd a course like this. Was wet roads and raining. Lost time I don't think I should have, slower and further down the list than I would have liked. But all I hads is all I had.

  • Well done. It looks technical, and hilly. A Catford rider got 6th in the U23s I believe.

It's great seeing such a range of riders. Emma Pooley won riding for VC Norwich!

    HERO.

  • And ex-forumer PJ in at 28th!

  • Just fucking witcha

    Dat position damn

Purito playing possum? Katousha targeting stage wins, at which they are very good, rather than the overall.

  • And ex-forumer PJ in at 28th!

    That rocks.

  • I was watching last year's TDF stage 18 (the double ascent of Alp d'Huez) last night where Riblon won.
I love it when stages are won by people who it clearly means a lot to .
Can't wait for this year's TDF to start. Will be camping out at the Canary Wharf fan Park every night with cider methinks.

  • Bollocks

  • Pathos dictates Thomas will stack it on stage one and the whole team will hit the deck a-la-Garmin-at-the-Giro popping all manner of bones and Wiggo will be standing in the crowd smirking with his best Mod jacket on....

  • I'm buying some Orica-GreenEdge kit and working on perfecting my Australian accent. Go Cadel!

  • If only he was riding the Tour

  • If only he was riding the Tour...

...there would be a chance that he would win.

  • I do go back to my usual criticisms of Sky though. Froome* and Thomas the only British riders taken the TdF. Kennaugh left out, Wiggins left out, Stannard probably would have gone if he wasn't injured. They don't operate as a British cycling team anymore, so I'll support the riders now, like the Yates and where ever Wiggins ends up. Ah well, the race will be amazing without Wiggins anyway...

  • Cheng Ji's the first rider from China to do the tour - good on him.

and Trek sending both Schlecks...not expecting much return in the Tour this year then.

  • Not sure Trek had too much choice. Andy will be riding for Frank though

  • I bet Trek would love a Fromme vs Wiggins dilema...

  • I bet their bank balance wouldn't
