The 8 who started the Dauphine plus Kennaugh.
Sounds alright to me.

• #2903
Switzerland looks like a very nice place to be today.
-
• #2904
Well, Morzine's jolly pleasant today, and the Swiss border is only just over that mountain (waves hand in direction of Avoriaz).
-
• #2905
I saw big Jezza Clarkson in Avoriaz once.
Was a bit strange because for him being such a gangly tool his daughter is well fit.

Clever work from IAM and Belkin to get their GC boys to bridge

Dat tarmac

Big finish in Tour de Suisse coming up.
Tinkoff riders seem to be hitting form at the right time. Nico Roche won a stage at Route du Sud, now leading GC, and Rogers was second ahead of Valverde.

Good work from Rui Costa, I didn't realise he could climb like that. I do feel for the panzerwagon though, I kinda felt he was doomed when I saw the stage profile
-
• #2910
+1. He deserved a podium place.
-
• #2911
Rubbish mobile Swiss-disco at the finish line! Yorkshire take note. The Costa family seemed to be enjoying themselves though.

Also, given cheese and giant cowbells on the podium. Yorkshire needs to give out pies and flat caps

Yorkshire...give out
Does not compute.
Tha's more brass than sense, lad.

cheese
The cut and wrapped Gruyere at ambient temperature made me angry. Switzerland should know better.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/no-place-for-bouhanni-in-fdj-fr-tour-de-france-team
Have to say I'm a little surprised, Bouhanni looked very good at the Giro, but then cav suffered in the Tour after riding the Giro. Demare really good enough to keep him out?
-
• #2917
Nope not as a pure sprinter but Demare a bit better at getting over the hills probably plus a pretty strong showing on the cobbles. Bouhani would only contest the true sprint stages where he hasn't got a chance against Cavendish, Greipel and Kittel.
-
• #2918
Bouhanni isn't that bad at getting over lumps either though, and he looks a notch above where he was last season IMO. Ah well, another decent French rider out after Giant-Shimano omits Bourgueil.

And in other news Cound has closed her Twitter account

A true loss to the sport and to the social media world.

Fran Millar must be fucking relieved, I wonder who it was that finally convinced her to STFU and that posting a mix of gooey pics of her and skelator with ad hominem rants wasn't a good look or vaguely helpful?
-
• #2922
Interesting timing with the TdF team due to be announced in the next few of days...I wonder if she has heard something she doesn't like?
-
• #2923
or Sky mgmt has put her on the payroll and told her they want none of that this year
-
• #2924
Excellent so it'll be back to what drugs Froome is on and power analysis and a little bit less of the Days of Our Lives bullshit.
-
• #2925
I think it was down to ceaseless flood of slurry she was getting after the TUE was revealed.

Good excuse to post this again then...
