"The team rode a beautiful race today. We did everything right and they gave everything for me all day. I hit a patch of something on the road, I don't know exactly what happened - it was like falling out of a tree - and down I went. Before I knew it, it was over. I think there were tears in my eyes before I hit the floor. I'm just so sorry. I know in my heart we did everything we could have to get me where I needed to be. Wouldn't say from nowhere, he had a strong lead out, but did go a long way around to find some clear tarmic, but was a long way clear when he won. He wasn't up against the top tier of sprinters, with Greipel still misleading his cruciate, but he made it look men against boys.

Just looks like he over cooks it, leans in too much and the rear wheel washes out, innit.

Wasn't the most exciting race but DM going down did actually add a bit of dramatics to the finish there.

Well done to Gerro obviously.

I just watched the highlights and basically texted this to the Sky vs. OGE bet dude.

Only valverde managed to go over top in that select group and still finish well.

And thank fuck that doper cunt didn't get it. I was yelling at the thought of him winning rather than Gerro winning. Kwiatkowski up there again.
