Great Race - I was on the Oude Kwaremont (on the Lidl sponsored fanzone side, not the prawn sandwich VIP side..) which was a fantastic place to watch the race develop on the big screen and then see the riders chug past on each of the three ascents. Wiggins was actually well to the front on each pass, Phinney looked cool as a cucumber on the first and second pass but was visibly fucked the third time.
Cancellara was monstrous on the third pass, teeth clenched, legs pumping, having just made the gap with Vanmarcke to go and catch van Avermaet & Vandenburgh on the Paterberg. The noise was incredible.
At the end the Belgian fans went mad with anger; A guy in OPQS kit in front of us threw an almost full beer to the ground in disgust...I rode the bergs and pave the day before - by our (single) ascent of the Oude Kwaremont it was like having someone hammering my kidneys for every cobble. My respect levels for the pro's inflated about 4000%..
Still cannot imagine doing that in the wet though... -

I think it was at the 40k mark
Noooo, score-draw, She bet on 48 and I had 32! Looks like double or quits on P-R unless anyone can be more precise. If it's to be a P-R rollover (literally and figuratively speaking), it'll have to be bets on his first and last crashes.........

^It was one of the Devolder crashes (second to last one?) on a left hand bend Geraint pulled an endo and went over his bars into a pile up.

That was a later crash. He went down very early on too

Andy you just stiched him up! The lady wins....

Wasn't the bet on kms to go? So around 210 kms, all bets are null and void.

it looks like something laid its eggs in Devolder's arm

Yep, She won, the 50km crash counts, but She has been generous; rollover it is! I have two cunning plans: either a) bet on mm one of the first pave sector for both first and last crash. Or b) buy a set of stabilisers and courier them to Northern France.
When did G last stay upright for an entire Monument? This is not a trick question....

eh? You guys never watched any cx races?
The belgies love chucking it about the place-it's part of the sport! Think Sven Nys even abandoned a race last year to chase after a spectator who'd been specifically targeting his head every single lap.

Really? Strange this illness that is afflicting little Richard. Not that I'm a huge fan of his. What will be Sky's Plan B? Too early for Kennaugh? No Uran, no Henao, do they sack off the GC and go for stages instead?
