Could you trim a cm or 2 from the bottom of the headtube?

probably could, but first I need a frame I can ride, then I can make this tightest and best create ever.

while fucking up the geo
neh, still would be worth it.
Where can I find inverse shim? Can't fit my thomson in this create. :///
Still waiting for chris king HS. -

Fucking up the geo?
Maybe he'd be better off putting the original fork back on and crashing it head on into a wall...

angles would change so much because of grinding of few mm of HT.
I still have Pompino fork, maybe that would look and feel the best??? -

Fucking up the geo?
switching from the stock forks to alpinas and then cutting the HT down is obviously going to fuck with the geo. Creates already have pretty low BBs

25cm ground clearance and 172,5mm cranks. Will take it for a proper commute on monday.

So as we all know this wouldn't have happened if it was steel, so I want to start a somewhat discussion about steel frames with 1 1/8 forks and that are relatively light.
The Broakland I posted in HHSB would be super nice, but there isn't enough time to get answer from Dosnoventa. I think 14r or Victoire frames would be a little too expensive. I have always wanted a EAI Bareknuckle. Don't want a Gazzetta. What are your thoughts, guys? Of course 1 inch would work too but threadless setup is the way I would like to go. -

Keep an eye on eBay or the classifieds I guess, although if I remember you're not in the UK. Could also talk to orwlowski or someone like that for a custom frame, depending on budget.

It's a daily thing to check ebay/classifieds but I think the problem is that it is the beginning of season. Everybody is out riding all the awesome bikes or they are selling for full price. Money isn't problem, but I really want to get a new frame to have warranty so I don't have to worry that a frame that many people want and I love myself turns into pile of light aluminium tubes and I can't do nothing about it.
Thinking about getting chainstay replaced but not sure. -

Buy something 853, you won't regret it.
-
• #115
^seconded, my 853 Donohue is great to ride. Or true temper so that you can crash it into a bus head on without a dent.

Could always get the chai stay replaced on your own.

Well that is the plan now as I don't need to send the frame back.
So the current deal is that there was no warranty for prototype but they as Dosnoventa can offer me a deal on a new frame. If it is one of the production frames then I could offer someone on LFGSS to get it cheaper through me or get one and sell on ebay etc.
But now about the chainstay - is Mielec an option? There are some people I know that work with aluminium but not with bike frames specificaly, if they do it Hi-end, it is an option right? -

Is it 7005 alumnium?
-
• #120
Yes, columbus airplane
-
• #121
Then you could probably weld it up and put it in a large oven if you wanted to fix it cheaply.

is it clever to write this in the internet???

I said how things are, it's not my little sneaky plan and that was the idea at that moment - now I have different plan. It's not like it can be used against me, it is how it is.

To continue my thoughts, I wanted to say that after I got nerged and lfgss police went after me when I tried to sell this frame making some money, I figure that lfgss is about community so I share what I'm planning to do.

^ That's fair.
I would not recommend trying to weld it yourself...
Fork classed that up nicely
