Re-kindled a childhood interest in falling off bikes, to the extent I now fix them for a living and fall off them to a second rate, professional level.
Perfect sentence for my CV, thank.

Oh, everybody can blame Ed for my presence on this forum. He made me.

Did pyjamas night ride, stayed up all night, had a moment of clarity/perspective about a job I hated, left the next day

Nothing other than that, I don't really go on the net much

I didn't blame anyone so you've just implicated yourself really. IF YOU'RE NOT GUILTY WHY THE NEED TO DENY CULPABILITY EH, EH? If I was going to blame anyone I would blame myself for thinking mixing wine and cider and riding home would be fiiiiine.
I really want to add the incident to the 'draw your own collisions' thread, but I realised it would just be me riding along, and then a blank frame, and then me on the ground....

Did all the parts fall of your bike at once? Was if built by Ian Macpherson?
-
• #113
No I think my understanding of balance just fell out of my brain.
Edit: I meant a blank frame as in all black cartoon styleee. But then you knew that, didn't you.

Falling off is great. I couldnt recommend cycling with w whisky/red wine cocktail inside you enough. Though maybe in pedestrian only throughfares :0

The cops round here are great, they dont stop you unless you look like you might hit someone or rob their phone.
-
• #116
They're the same around here... I used to get stopped on a regular basis.

I hate to think of this ^ sad little fake being the last contributor to the thread.
I don't want to go into all the details right now, so I'll simply say that this forum has played a large part in putting my life back together. Quite an accomplishment for a bunch of twats who endlessly bicker on about bikes ( and pretty much everything else ).
So thank you

No, my love of murdering has fully returned.
Thanks to all of you :-)

It's nice to feel like I've helped in some small way.

I have made some new and good friends as a direct result of TNRC.
None of them have helped me out in anyway though....but that's because I never ask :-)
I have learnt to UTFS and to embed a photo is second nature now. -

I was buying my first flat last year but it all fell through at the last minute, for boring legal reasons. I'd had a crappy few years of moving house a lot and having frustrating problems with landlords, and that flat was supposed to be a wonderful end to all of that and my own little space. When it fell apart I was gutted because not only had I lost the flat, but I would have to go through the renting rigmarole again...
But 36*18 - who I met through the forum - very, very kindly offered me a spare room in his place and was extraordinarily kind about that whole thing, putting up with me while I saved up for another try and went to dozens of viewings. I was there for something like 9 months, and in that time he helped me out numerous times with tools and advice. Now I've finally moved into my own place. What a thoroughly bloody nice bloke.

I almost very nearly got to be in the opening ceremony of the Olympics due to this forum - I did get to cycle around the inside of the Olympic Stadium though! I moved to London with people from this forum. Everyone I now consider to be in my close circle of friends is 'on here.' Lots of other things, too.
At least you got to hang out with Danny Boyle and Bob Haribo :)
Somebody sent me a birthday present, soley because I spend too much time on here chatting shit and was moaning about not having something I wanted. Thank-you to them. I've also met some of you other twats and re-kindled a childhood interest in falling off bikes, to the extent I now fix them for a living and fall off them to a second rate, professional level.
