Awesome! I like TT builds.
Frame geometry looks pretty much the same like the Concorde TT I have!

Never seen a Concorde rebranded in that way.
Love the paint job. I have a Concorde Mistral with a funky paint scheme. Makes the black of the TT frame look kind of dull. It's in good condition though. -

Found some photos from when i rode it fixed.
Frame deserves better for sure but I still like that build + it got me that nice FiR Super RIalto Grid 650c front wheel for €35.When I decided to do the sensible thing and give it gears I never thought doing Shamals, I needed a 700c rear FiR Super Rialto wheel/rim..

You could also go the Risers and gears way, cause you would probably hardly use it as a Lo Pro.
-
• #8
I could. But then i wouldn't have an excuse to build a road bike once this is finished..
-
• #9
how's that? Low pro with risers can be used as commuter etc. There is always a reason to build a new road bike ;)!

At this moment I've got some parts from the previous build I'm going to reuse. Complete group isn't going to happen but i'm committed to doing full Campagnolo (apart from the wheels)..
So, Triomphe (80s?) pedals + clips
80’s Athena Crank. Dustcaps and BB also Campagnolo..
(Chorus / C-Record?) seatpost
2nd generation C-record delta brakes

Altough the Gilles Berthoud Soulor was quite comfortable, it's a little too non-period correct + a bit ugly. Will be on the look out for something more sporty from the 90s. Details on the thing are awesome though..
The Dura Ace 100mm stem that's on the frame now makes the stretch to the bars too long for me. Will probably use a shorter (hopefully DA) Shimano stem..

8 speed shifters
and a box

... I needed a 700c rear FiR Super Rialto wheel/rim..
Did some searching on eBay and such, nothing. Sometimes I found a FiR Rialto which looks kinda similar but still.. matching decals was what I was aiming for.
At some point I stumbled upon an Italian cycling shop that also sold some vintage stuff, NOS FiR Super Rialto Grid rims included :) I was fucking stoked and ordered one straight away for a little over €90 via their contact form (old school online shopping this).
Thing is, I have no experience with wheel building and my favorite LBS didn't want to take on this project because the rim was build for internal nipples. Larger shops told me it would take them too long, they didn't have time because it was pre-summer season.. or something, assholes. So i took the rim to a friend who had build a wheel or two and after a mere 18 months the wheel was done.. you can't hurry up your mate can you. Anyway: shit looks good, can't wait to put it on the frame!

18 months must've given you the truest wheel of all : )

I think i've found the perfect seat for this build...
Carbon + titanium rails. Going to be a pretty blacked out bike now, but love the yellow details on the seat.. kind of match the logo of the FiR rims.
Maybe some yellow on black bar tape would finish it. -

Found some chorus/record? brake levers with black hoods that still look decent.. Bike is getting blacker and blacker, need to add some colour soon.
The water bottle is nice and bright though. ha!The 100mm DA stem had to go (here), switched it for a Shimano600 70mm that will probably do the trick.
Wasn't feeling the NITTO rb-021 on this frame when I rode it fixed so got something with a similar rise at the bar ends but without the drop..
Added some NITTO bar end plugs for the street cred. All that plus the rear (8speed) and front mech results in something that is actually close to ridable,

Did move! A couple of times. But never lived on KNSM. Used to work there though. Thanks for the idea: if this bike is finished I'm doing a KNSM shot of it!

What are those bars then?
Silly cheap non period correct poop bars. Don't even know what brand. Can check my LBS if you like...

No, that's fine thanks.
I've got an Ellis-Briggs lo-pro on the way to me and I was just curious about alternatives to Cinelli LA84.

Saw that Ellis-Briggs! Very pretty!

Impressed. You've got to be happy with that. Some white hoods and virginal white bar tape and your work is done.
Dat saddle.

Been too bussy to finish the bike last week. Right now there are only small things left really.. setting up the gears and brakes, order the inner tubes, rim tape, chain & cassette.
For the bars I am thinking black perforated tape (Fizik soft touch maybe) + yellow electrical tape underneath. Sounds a little weird maybe. But need some black tape with yellow details. I've seen the black tape, perforated, with blue color underneath but couldn't find them in black&yellow, so I thought I'll just make that myself.
While not finishing the bike I did buy something too expensive and silly for it:
I've had this frame for years now. Rode it fixed for a couple of months, but after I finished my Reynolds 531 commuter I decided it deserved to be build up as it was supposed to be build up: geared and period correct(ish). Since then nothing happened much. Seeing über_grüber's project and Gaston FR's Ciocc made me realize I need this classic time trial stuff in my life. So i'm picking up where i left off...
How i bought it
Frame & fork
As much as i want to build this up as awesome as possible, budget is pretty low..
Will probably add nicer parts in the following months/years, but want to make it ridable first.
