i will find you and i will happy slap you if you paint this
-
• #9
Hahah ok, might have to re-think this when I'm sober
-
• #10
You got a bargain on this, also, when you sober up, you will realise it's 1" ahead.
-
• #11
I know it's 1in headset.... So all my old shit should fit on it yes
-
• #12
What kind if stem does this take? Clamp on or quill?
-
• #13
It can take either but you may have to use an inverse shim.
-
• #14
What is the tube set of this frame?
-
• #15
Aero 853...
Bit like a 14r is supposed to be.
-
• #16
And in soseriousness it'll take a 1" Ahead stem.
-
• #17
Aero 853
Really, don't paint this frame. If you do I'll inverse shim your balls!!
-
• #18
So ahead headset is like a threadless headset.... So my inch quill stem will not fit as an ahead headset needs the stem to clamp on to something....?
-
• #19
It's ok now I'm Finaly managed to look up and find out how the head set works and stuff. Just got to think of what parts I could use to build it up.

Can anyone recommend any clamp on brakes cuz I'm a whimp and I do t want to drill the frame for one
-
• #23
Post a pic up of the fork crown/top of legs they might not take a clamp but my be drillable (I don't get the problem with tis if they were designed with this in mind).
-
• #24
Well I'm being told not to paint the frame and was just thinking if I drill the fork it might chip the paint or make it flake. If I didn't have a dodgy knee I would run without. Looks like it could have something clamped on.

My bad, that doesn't look drillable.
The legs look like they might be too larger diameter for a clamp on mount.
You might have to get a pair of 1" threadless road forks.
So iv just won this pretty little thing and may need some idea as to how to build it up. Got plenty of parts already ink njs cranks and njs super lap bb and quill. With tri spoke but if you have any other ideas that would be good to hear. Also I will be painting it a rad colour scheme at some point with my local painter at Noquarterbikes. Who I'm sure will do a good job. Pics to follow. And updates on the build
