Went into a second-hand bookshop in Krakow, browsed for a while then picked up a copy of The Fairy Queen, looked inside the front cover and the 1920 nameplate was for an address on Leytonstone High Road, 50 feet from where I lived.

I was in charge of the search operation for a bloke called Dr David Kelly and sent the two searchers out to Harrowdown Hill where they found him. You've probably never heard of him but there was a bit of a to do about it afterwards, and no mistake.

I'd love to know more. It's not a cool story til you tell it. Doubt you're at liberty to go into detail though. Keep em coming folks. Luci will be here in a bit I don't doubt (he's one big cool story).

I can't really go into detail other than the young lady searcher that found him rang me and said "We've found him his fucking arms off, blood everywhere". Which is definitely at odds with what the ambulance crew later said. I trust and believe my searcher over those two any day. He'd rolled over slightly hiding one of his arms by the way. Until I got some more people to her I didn't know what could have gone on for him to have lost an arm. I've got cps (cool? police stories) going back 31 years.

Seriously Savage. How true is this and have you not spoken of it more broadly before? We're your 'searchers' police? I thought his body was discovered by a couple?
-

Savage, are you talking about the Dr David Kelly, the Biological Warfare expert who was tied up in Britains justification for going to war and had an untimely mysterious demise for which much speculatory conspiracy theories have arisen?

I think we should all stop talking about this, the feds are listening!

More coincidence, I was named after both my grand fathers, who had sadly passed away once i was born, Bernard Myles. My mother was asked by a nurse in hospital if I was named after the famous actor Bernard Miles, who i was not and my mother had never heard of. A while ago I looked him up on IMDB, turns out he passed away on my 11th Birthday. Bit odd.

Imagine if he'd died the day you were born!!!
Lets have em.
I was just listening to a podcast from This American Life about coincidences. Brilliant story by the daughter of this old jazz musician. She was in her room listening to That Old Black Magic by Ella Fitzgerald. There's a line in it that goes "that old black magic that Billy Daniels has got me in". So this girl gets curious and goes into the living room to ask her dad who this Billy Daniels is. Her dad said he was the guy who had originally made that song his own and who had become famous on the circuit for it. Ella had been moved to record it because of his version. The girl asks her dad if he knew this Billy Daniels back in the day. He says yeah but it was a long time ago. Billy's probably dead by now. Just at that moment the phone rings. She picks it up and this gravelly voice asks to speak to her dad. She asks who's speaking and he says "it's Billy Daniels".
Cool story!!!
