  • You can buy me one for Christmas if you want? :D

They're £30 and come with all the bell and whistle.

  • I've been out and about on it the past couple of days, it's loads of fun. I will hopefully get the front mudguard fitted this weekend and tape up/rattle can the braking surface on the wheels.

  • Front mudguard fitted, I am currently in the process of painting the rims and then this is done (until the rack arrives)

Apologies once again for my awful photography. I need to buy a camera.

  • Painted my rims.

  • Looking good man, you will be glad you have those guards when it rains, so nice not having all the water and road grime flicked at you.

  • Thanks!

yeah discovered that when put raceblades on my previous beater.

The thing I'm enjoying about this is being able to roll over all the shitty holes in the roads around my house and barely even feel them.

  • Yeah it does look well comfy, how are the 32's? I'm using 28c pasela at the moment on 23mm rims and even that is pretty good.

  • Well I've got 32mm in the back and 35mm up front on 25mm rims so its pretty damn comfortable. It's nice not having to weave around all of the shitty parts of road.

  • Don't forget to rock those big fucking mudflap, it's the only thing left to keep your feet and drivetrain clean.

  • What scoble said. Mudflap on my brompton is the best thing ever.

  • Yeah planning on getting one, the mudguards never came with one.

    Got any recommendations?

  • Don't buy, DIY.

There's plenty of waterproof material you can use, or cut up plastic bottles and things work too. Just cut it to the right shape, drill through it and your mudguard then either bolt or zip ties to hold it together.

  • yeah good shout, easy enough to do.

  • My method is an old tyres, they're stiff enough to not bend when running through flood, have wired bead to keep its shape and curved nicely.

    Downside? It look ugly;

  • Oh yeah, the mount on the front mudguard should be on the back of the fork crown, not the front - it won't cover the front wheel as much as it should when it's set that high.

  • Really? The picture in the instructions made it look like it should tuck in behind the brake which would be on the front. Balls.

  • It can be either way, but you get better coverage with it mounted on the rear.

  • that tyre solution up there is pretty good Ed. I reckon I'll give that a go.

  • Almost willing the weather to turn shit.

  • New decals on the way to me thanks to Roboto.

Going to replace the Jim Fixed It For Me, although hilarious, some people don't like it.

  • Should've been Jim Flicked It For Me

  • who's Jim?
