I live everything apart from the headset.
I actually think this is the bike of yours I would enjoy riding most.

Very nice Dammit, shame about the photo.

I'm on it!

Thank goodness. We have been waiting patiently for weeks, and I for one feel cheated.

No love for Chris King?

No love for Chris King?
it needs to match stem and seat post...

• #733
No way, the black headset is perfect.

I stand corrected.
-
• #736
I considered that but preferred the black.
Bars/stem/post all match, I think headset going with the groupset is allowable within the rules.
-
• #737
Nah. The headset would just disapear in a mess with the stem. Now it is nicely picked out by saddle and bartape.
Definitely wanted a black headset.

Ti would be more pimp / matchy-matchy, but I think black would still look better. So, yeah.

Tried to take some photographs whilst waving an anglepoise around, with a limited degree of success:
I think what is needed is some daylight.
-
• #740
Very nice. What's your first impressions of the ride?
-
• #741
I got home from work tonight and glued the tubs on, then waved the Anglepoise at it- I'll take it out tomorrow (hopefully).

Oh Dammit, she's a beauty. Very, very jealous.

Look forward to reading your report.

I think what is needed is some [strike]daylight[/strike] plaster on the walls.

It looks better in the newest pics - I just wouldn't have gone for a black one but that is me and this is rather annoyingly your bike and not mine!

Excuse my ignorance by what cassette is that?

It was never going to be a lightweight:

not bad for an obsolete, lugged piece of memorabilia though ;)

No, and it's not what this is about at all- I just couldn't help checking.
Looks fantastic .. Matt and the people he works with have done a smashing job bringing the frame back to life. When you compare the above picture with the pictures on the first few pages it's like night and day.
Also .. why does this need a Flite or anything else done to it? LIke someone further up the page said it's not a vintage frame. oh and Arione was introduced in 2002 so pretty close to when Dammit dated the frame too .. just saying
