Well, if you'd prefer I didn't try and defuse the mob and let you carry on digging downwards at an ever-increasing speed, feel free to continue.
I did explain it calmly in the PMs, and you did acknowledge what you said was bad, but if you really need it spelled out slowly then it would only amount to making things considerably worse before they got better.
As I suggested, try humble pie. Tends to work better than any amount of being pissed off would.

-Op offers sub-par product with questionable charity link - not offering justgiving/movember account as payment option.
-Forum offers constructive critiscm and low-end banter

If they were slightly better made(not much effort/no money req) and the op wasn't continually rude/aggressive I'd be up for it even thought I don't use a holster as hey it's charity, as it stands however, and the continued 'me me me me' attitude I wouldn't give a penny.

ChirsPeacock, you don't have to appease anyone if you don't want to. If having everyone comment on this is bothering you, then put it down to experience and move on. These people are strangers on the internet, you had the wrong attitude in that respect, but it's not a big deal. People will be happy to contribute, you just have to make it easy for them.
This is all perfectly understandable, it's just overblown by being on the internet. Don't worry about it, but just bear it in mind next time.

To the OP, it was never totally convincing that this was genuine rather than a emotional-blackmail-based scam to extract money from hipsters. Following that you somewhat failed to distinguish between banter and genuinely useful advice and responded to them all, pretty much instantly with, essentially, "you're all arseholes (LOL!)" It's also worth bearing in mind that there is some really nice handmade stuff for sale on here and, whether it's for charity or not, these are people's baseline.
So, good luck with the fundraising, it's a nice idea (in both senses) but needs better execution and marketing.

Right, just remember, people here are older, wiser, and more used to the internets than you.
Alot of stuff here is said with a pinch of salt.
I know you are a young guy, and only trying to do something for a cause that is important to you. But you have to, at all times, be decent to people. All the more so when doing something for charity.
You have to think, that while trying to raise money for movember, you are representing the cause.
Don't call people arseholes.
Don't wish cancer on people.
Either think of some better way to bite back, or don't.
Make a decent lock holster, raise some funds.
Right now you think it's too late but probably not, just give the forum a decent product, and as Ed said, even those who have no need for a lock holster, will donate to your cause.

What a cunt right? I managed to raise just over £140, took a bit of effort but I guess it was worth it.
Your idea is better than simply growing a shit moustache, you just gotta remember respect is earnt not given. So show these folks some respect, provide a decent product, and you'll receive the same respect back.

One final point and I'll stress that this is only from my point of view. If you want people to send you money for a product, you may want to avoid stuff like the above. Even though it's a fun product (and it is, like I said, a nice idea) it's offputting if you write like this and put "LOL" in every post.
