  • If it's the latter, Manchester and Liverpool are both up there...

  • Manchester is a lovely place, I've never had any trouble when riding my sweet fixeh.

  • SE coastal towns? That's why it's called cuntryside.

    Killing them is cuntricide.

Killing them in Brighton is merely garbage disposal as every one is a hipster.

  • I got bottled in Manchester once but that was because I unfortunately intercepted a bottle on a collision course with some City fans from some United fans. Other than that, it's flat and easy riding and people are broadly fine.

Bath isn't that fun to ride in. Nice countryside but it's all hills and 90% Range Rover turdlords

  • Edinburgh in my opinion for weather/cobbles/Festival cunts, but Bristol comes close.

  • Man, I don't know why everyone is picking on Bristol! It's got like, one serious hill in it!

  • Must be the cunt factor then?

there are a fair few in bristol but bath is definitely worse

    Brassknocker brings the fucking agony

  • I've never had a bad time in Bristol, apart from the accent it's a right laugh.

  • Bath really isnt that bad, it may have all of 1 square meter of flat ground but there is hundreds of little lanes cross linking each other so going up or down is easy. The traffic lights are a nightmare for cars to so the city centre is actually pretty sound. Sion Hill though.......

  • What's the hill from the centre up towards the uni? The big one? Is big.... Wouldn't fancy it on the sweet fixie... Well, not on 74gi.

That's Sion hill, if you're talking about Bath. I can do it on 48x17, but it gets a bit square-wheels at the end.

    Brassknocker, on the other hand...

  • also I actually put my vote in for Hampton-On-Sea

But, but ... just think of the trams! :)

  • ^^^ I did Sion Hill on 47x17 after riding a hilly 90km.

    Zig
    Fucking
    Zag

  • But, but ... just think of the trams! :)

I am deeply worried by the trams and their low, hollow hooting noise. Silent killers.

Top prizes to the first person to find that picture of Nasty's face after he had a business meeting with tram rails and the concrete one night.

  • Have I really read posts suggesting that Glasgow is a hard city to ride in? The roads might be a bit of a state, but come on.

Being in Glasgow itself is like taking a knock to the constitution. The whole city lurks under a mist of -2 Fortitude.

  • Full of yorkshiremen too.

You can always tell a Yorkshireman.

But you can't tell him much.

  • Manchester is a lovely place, I've never had any trouble when riding my sweet fixeh.

That's because it's only about the size of Hyde Park. And the king of cycling lives there, in a big castle with a velodrome in the basement where his brave knights do battle with evil foes from foreign shores.

  • Sion Hill...? Bathwick Hill is the main one up to the Uni from town no?

Bath's actually pretty good to ride around. You can always beat the traffic into town and there are plenty of options for hill reps without going too far from your door. I used to do North Rd, Bathwick Hill, Ralph Allen Drive, and Widcombe Hill in less than 20 miles door to door.

  • Where's Danny Dyer in all of this, anyway?

It's literally the worst, managed it just on 48x17 but was over taken by a pedestrian walking up it. Going down it is a good laugh but say good by to your tyre!
