  • don't be so sure. my last tall bike was stolen.

  • Cement the the bottom 2/3 into the ground and the cockpit would still get nicked.

  • I must build a tall bike

  • Can you stick a vid on youtube on how you get on/off n generally ride it? Im intrigued!

Id shit myself coming up to traffic lights

I'll try to do one when I get back to London at the weekend :)
I have been a bit iffy with lights as I've still not mastered getting back on again. Just trying to slow down way in advanced of the lights then spinning2win when they go green.
Getting on when no one is watching is much easier for some reason...

and another good thing about this bike is I bet no one is going to steal it (feeling the pain as my regular-sized bike was nicked today)

I feel you, my cockpit on my surly was nicked last night.

Fuck! I hoped that it would be unlikely for it to be nicked. Hope mine doesn't suffer the same fate :(

Do it! It's so fun, and I really want to get together a regular tall bike ride in london.

  • Were you riding down from Finsbury Park to Holloway, on the one-way system past the Sobell Centre last night?

    I'm pretty sure I saw you/this.

  • Then down New North Road/Canonbury Road southbound? It looked like the above bike and made me smile in awe at you.

  • A tip for anyone making a tall bike; use a ladies frame for the upper one. Makes it so much easier to mount/dismount!

Yep I was! was riding down to the made possible by squatting event on 15 Dock Street!

Yes yes twas me on the same journey. Glad I made you smile! I saw a couple people who looked a bit "on here" but was focusing more on my safety than DAS'ing.

Step through frames on top are probably more practical, but they don't look quite as good, and I dunno, I wanted to build it and I wanted the frames to be cheap/free and a step through frame just wasn't available.
If I build another I would use smaller frames and perhaps a step through on top.

  • Right I have one frame so far. just need to find another then its a go!. I have zero welding equipment though so thats another job for another day

  • Now I have 2! How do you fork ????
