I see the shop's up and running!
Does that mean the bank account is open ergo jerseys are imminent? :)Almost.
The velodrome day has urgency as it's a fixed date in time, so I've started selling without full access to the funds as I've already paid out of my own pocket.
The jerseys are awaiting Aroogah to help me ensure we set the price correctly so that we are able to fund the club from the proceeds.

Hi, is the track day open to any and all forum members?
i hope so!
Yes and yes.
Though strictly it's for the cycle club members, the membership of LFGSS CC is free!
It would be good if you were a member of British Cycling and put down LFGSS CC as your club, but even that isn't essential (but the benefits of Gold membership and having insurance for your cycle commutes is considerable).

Is there still a jersey and a cap that is going to happen? Or is this going to go the way of the 2012 tshirt?
I need both as I am not enjoying riding around in my 'cartman' jersey I received as a joke present and my 5-panel-as-cycling-cap is getting pretty gross. Or should I just get a miltag "Last Place" black jersey and be honest with myself?

May I draw your attention to my post
#7035
in the Time Trial thread under Rides and Races.
A quick search suggests you have not so far discussed club records, but this has certainly been a subject of longstanding interest in my own club and, I believe, in many others.
Time trialling generally is the area most relevant to setting records, but there may be scope elsewhere - for example: greatest number of track or road placings in a season. But the obvious records to have are the standard TT distances - 10 miles, 25 miles and so on. Place to place is also a possibility - my club has Hounslow - Worthing and Back and Hounslow- Newbury and Back records, but you can chose whatever you want. Bow to Bayswater would sound suitable for lfgss, although I'm **not **actually recommending this one (health & safety!) Naturally all records can have almost endless categories- men, women vets, juniors plus different types of machine.
As years go by and a long list of current and past records accumulates, I think you will find that your club will feel a more solid institution than it would without this history, and the recordmen and women will be able to feel that they have left their mark.
I put this idea forward merely as a suggestion - I hope I've given you enough here to start a discussion.

I know you ride some time trials so I think you should at least consider The Hounslow (NB - TT's are not the only thing we do).If you'd like to talk about this, send me a pm.

Have you got a job yet? Find a local club when you know where you're going to work seems the best plan.

Good idea a couple of suggestions for list of Records:
1) Fastest lap of Regents Park
2) Most Spotted in a 1 week period
3) Longest skid (on a bike)
4) Most hugs from Chainbreaker
5) Most repped on the forum (weekly/monthly)
6) Most negged on the forum (as above)
8) Biggest dredge - resurrecting a For Sale thread from pre 2012 -
• #2019
9) Most ignored?
Only one real contender for that one though.

V. droll. Must spread rep, etc.
-

There are a few contenders for that one aren't there?

Srsly? More often ignored than our Lord and Saviour, Jeez? I think not.

This sort of thing is exactly why I have never previously joined a cycling club.
Takes all the fun out of cycling. -

Or for those who are interested in these sorts of things; it adds all the fun.
http://lfgss.cc no jersies or caps though :(
