Bit late, I thought VB had already put a lot into getting Milltag involved.

I think so too, but I'm just asking in case we get a second kit for our bike gang and I can use the new design I did for long sleeve tops and skinsuits. Our current kit has bibs that become see-through during inclement weather...

The hold up is not the supplier, Milltag are begging me to get going.

The hold up is the cascade of dependencies.

We have no money and don't know precise order numbers and size distribution, so we need to take pre-orders.

To take pre-orders we need Shopify set up.

To set up Shopify as a non-profit we need our CASC status.

To set up the CASC status we need a committee and a bank account.

I have a few volunteers for the committee/team to get us going, but it's the bank account we're waiting on right now.

Because we're not yet a CASC, this apparently creates problems for the bank. I'm still waiting.

But to order the kit, we need numbers, sizes, payments... and unfortunately we can't get to that until we get past the other things first.

It is... fucking frustrating.

Last contact with the bank, yesterday when they had more questions about CASCs, the constitution of the club, etc.

Can't you set up a pay pal link like the donate button for now to get preorders and then sort membership stuff after the fact? Particularly for those who have put jersey but not racing?

I realise that you've done a lot of work with the bank in trying to get this going, but have you considered looking at whether a credit union is better suited to the initial stages of setting up the club. Although subject to the same FSA regulations, they do tend to be a bit more community minded about getting things up and running for people and may have more on the ground experience of helping small, start up NPOs.

What is the initial order that Milltag need re numbers of units to get the jersey into production?? 50-100?? I would say do the Paypal option to get the ball rolling and get some jerseys out there then do a more permanent setup for the coming decades and centurys that the club will be in existence..

I am sure Milltag just need a finalised jersey design and some cash with a minimum order to get started..

Myself like many who have never used Milltag before would have no idea re sizing, do they offer a drop in fitting to try some sizes before putting in order??

Not really. The implicite question was what is the definition of need shopify?

It would seem that every previous forum related jersey/tshirt/cap has not needed shopify, so why is it necessary now?

Just because you want it now, doesn't mean it will be here now.

VB has explained why it's taken a bit of time to sort out, so saying why don't you do this or do that isn't really helping the situation.

Things are in hand, jerseys will be here, just maybe not as quickly as you would personally like. So lets suffer this indignity with a stiff upper lip eh, blitz spirit and all that...
