Drill ALL the bike!
That plug thing definitely won't fit, look at the clearance
Is there's enough clearance for a standard brake?
-
• #232
Look, if you drill it you can easily get the hole filled and the forks repainted, so dont worry.

Get another fork and get that painted to match

...I decided that I'd rather have a unique Keirin frame for £500 than just another Cinelli Mash or whatever.
...
Err...now what?
Mash comes with a drilled fork, right? ;)

I've actually got to see Mario Vaz about getting some forks made for me, maybe we can get a deal?

It's a bog standard NJS bike. Drill it both front and rear I'd say!

If you want forks made then contact Superted. He's the don.

I think he's having some difficulties atm

Oh shit. Amazing picture. Poor Ted.

All that aside, he still copied a pair of forks of mine for the 853 Black Beauty.
Which is sadly now at the vault in the sky...

Drill it = ruin its uniqueness
Replacement forks = Cheap less than £40. You may even find some for free if you look or ask around.
Try finding well made un drilled threaded track forks with that tight clearance out of steel. NOT EASY. The choice is yours.

I've been in touch with RSPB... apparent B is for birds and not bikes, and they don't wanna get involved.

Is that a recent photo of Ted? I thought he had moved away, been to the barber's and set up a badass workshop...
Have these been drilled yet?

Fingers crossed for the track to be dry enough tomorrow.

I actually have no idea how I'll get there. No way I can ride it there in it's current state, I might have to get a train from Essex Road station to Herne Hill?
-
• #249
Set off earlier, ride slower. I remember my first time brakeless. It was snowing and I didn't have a shallow drop brake so I just HTFU'd and rode to work. :)

best bet is overground from highbury & islington to denmark hill (or change at peckham rye to go to north dulwich if you want to be even closer)
