Good question Oliver. We dosed them up on pills and booze so they'd perform for us.

• #103
That's what they want you to think. In reality, the owls have trained you.

A little owl treat to get you through the week. Apols if hasn't embedded - that seems to be a step too far

Hey ladies. Remember our awesome trip to see the owls last year, and this comedy photo at the station on our way home?
Well, @T4NY4 spotted that the Cycle Rail Awards were looking for entries of photos showing bikes on trains, so we thought, well, this shows bikes at a train station, so why not, let's enter.... and the photo has been shortlisted!

Hilarious. We should get an award from the Biggleswade Promotion Board, at least - we look so happy to be there!

I like how you are wearing ALL THE CLOTHES :D
It was November! We don't have lovely soft feathers to keep us warm like the lovely owls have.

Awesome!
(I would like to touch some owls soon...)

We touched all of them. You're out of luck :p

My mum was stalking me on facebook at the weekend and saw the photo - she sends the following comment:
I think the photo shows:
- the station.
- bikes.
- lovely ladies having a good time.
Winner all round I would say!
She is also super jealous of our owl-touching escapades.
- the station.

We didn't win :(
When they read out our name, there was some sniggering. Jealous sniggering, no doubt.
On the plus side, T4 and I between us drank 5 glasses of champagne and ate 4 scones with jam and cream (bear in mind we're like Jack Spratt and one of us doesn't drink/the other doesn't eat scones).

Which photo won and is it on-line?
List of entries here, but the actual photos don't seem to be linked to:

The photo's main shortcoming, of course, is a marked lack of owls in it, but it has that in common with all owl-less photos. :)

This is the winning photo:
This one came 2nd:
Still think we was robbed.

Totally. That first photo is particularly unspectacular!
Out of interest ... aren't owls usually active at night? How come these were awake for your visit?
(I expect that there are plenty of owls for whom being active during daylight hours isn't a problem.)
