I guess duct tape is too shiny to be matte... but no way i'm defacing my baby with a rattle can spray.

From a branding point of view, silver is neutral. If they used a coloured bike, it might clash with a competitor's branding colours. The wonderful world of advertising.

what about a raw steel finish, could that count as matte silver?
