I know you've ordered but the DF3 is a very very capable sprint bike, its won a lot and seems to be the chosen bike down the Glasgow track. Plus for the money its unbeatable imo!

konastab01 thanks for that - I wanted to hear that before not after I have ordered the bloody frame ;-)
I think price was the main factor here to be honest. I gave ADR guys a call and they said its a pretty capable frame. I did raise the fact that Dolan makes 2 different frames, one more aero one more sprint. Still though their response was that I wont regret ...
DF3 is about £1200 this is less than £700 I have to say I made a decision based partially on that and questioning myself if I am good enough to feel the difference if there is any.
Also Dolan does have its name ADR ... well they are new. That also was a factor here I thought I can be a bit of a guinea pig for them.
Ill report my feelings later once I test it and race it for the first time.

btw I love the way it look ...

Where they from? £700 is a very decent price and for something that not a lot of people have is even better. DF3 ares quite common in Glasgow. The Forza is more of a endurance frame, DF3 is much better all round and for sprints!

ADR is somewhere near Manchester I did ring Scott on the number from the website - very nice guy and seems to know what he is talking about.
Ill let you know how I get on with the frame next week as I should get it on Friday.

Looks like an Alien if you ask me.
I contacted them a while ago and they never replied to any emails. Shame as they would make a great slave rig!

I'm thinking of one of the ADR frames now, but they're almost 200euro more expensive than the Alien V3. What gives?
-
• #15
Inflation? The alien V3 price is probably a few years old.

steer away from ADR carbon
bought the frame and put the parts in - set of Campagnolo Record (carbon BB+cranks + titanium pedals).
cranks are clear of the chain stays but heel is not.
cannot pedal at all
asked them to get the frame back and refund the money and they said NO because I have cut the seat post.
told them in response that I wasnt able to test it otherwise and that the frame is not 'fit for purpose' as you cannot ride it at all - more or less told me to foff.
went to the best mechanic I know and he tried different BB's add a washer to the pedals and moved cleats - nothing no clearance and cannot pedal
I am left with £700 unusable frame and Trading standards + small claims court to deal with.
nice customer service.
someone suggested special pedals with longer spindle but this isnt right as you dont but 'special BB / spacial pedals' for one freaking frame when all the same good quality parts are fine on any other frame.
very disappointing

Ach. Sorry to hear this.
Seems odd because the Aliens were specifically designed for lanky gits and they don't usually have small feet!
I wonder what solutions others have come up with, or even if anyone else has had the same problem?
Shit about them being unhelpful.Have you tried 'normal' cranks like DA or S75? Are yours particularly bulky or long?
need a little advise on this please.
I am considering getting one of them or the ADR Nero or Dolan DF3.
I want to know which one would be better for the sprints or maybe something completely different?
I am looking at the carbon frames though.
