Cheers lads. Went for a test ride and the brifters are absolutely knackered lol. Ah well, this is by long term upgrade bike but taking it to a local bikeshop to get replacement shifters tomorrow

Slowly but surely. Not in love with bars. May be too short reach given stem is 100.

Get a longer stem, no? Don't let too short reach ruin the ride.

Getting there Veddy.
You need a 120+ on that garden gate though.

Anyone got any recommendations for a spray/grease to apply to my bike to protect the paintjob of my bike and stop it rusting?
Also made my bike much more ready for the streets of Berlin.
- Switched up the tyres to 28 conti 4seasons
- The shifters were knackered, so took them to a local bike shop and had dura-ace 8 speed shifters fitted
- The bar tape was manky, so switched to some black lizardskins bar tape
- Switched pedals to flat/spd XT pedals to allow me to cycle clipped-in or in normal shoes in the city.

I just spray ACF-50 on everything, your mileage may vary.

New paint. Ex team Gan bike.
I’m going to get some trad bend bars and mess about with reach that way.
Regretting going for black finishing kit.

Bloody well done I say. That may elbe the best team livery out there for a Merckx. I'm not sure what the original was, but the stripes on the fork crown with this one is a nice touch:

Very nice Max frame

Does ACF-50 work to protect the paint job?
-
• #615
Not directly - it’s a corrosion inhibitor.

My Team Weinmann is an LFGSS veteran with a 63cm frame. Veloce gruppo with Record crank, cinelli bars/stem and Zondas

Indeed, when you like it, don't hesitate because they're gone before you know it. I didn't hesitate on mine either. I still find it one of the most beautiful bikes I'd ever seen (but it's just 1 cm too small to fit me in a perfect way. 😢).
