I am riding this. I've missed it the last couple of years.

I'm doing this but on my Road bike, My fixed gear isn't set up for distance (building a singlespeed that will be though so maybe next year). Riding up to Bristol from Taunton on Saturday Eve, and then home from Exmouth afterwards (unless the weather is bad and then I'll bail and go home on the way down past Taunton).

Stu i'll look out for you tomorrow night, if the weathers bad i'll be bailing from near Taunton and heading to my mums in Chard. I'm as above on a Blue Pinarello.

No, was just going to see how well I go and who ends up at a similar pace.
I reckon I'll not set off until late (about 11). The night looks set to get dryer (or less wet) as it goes on. And I don't want to get to the cafe before it opens!

Time to dig out the winter kit...
-

i'm not sure how wet or cold it will be, expecting it to be warm and humid tonight

Bailing due to the weather (in other words, am a wimp). Enjoy!

The temperature has definitely dropped today! The guy sI'm riding with have bailed out but I reckon I'm going to make my way up to Bristol and see how it goes.

Driving to Brizzle from London and the weather ain't looking great, but then I'm further east at the moment and the weather should be moving towards me.
BBC weather shows clear skies on the satellite from 7pm above Bristol.
What time are you aiming to start Stu?

XCweather has it as a decent (10 gusting 20) headwind (well WSW), minimal rain.
Good luck all, wish I was there. -

Cooking pasta and doing some last min checks (and posting on LFGSS natch). Weather actually looks pretty ok.

In Bristol at my girlfriends aunts house just around the corner from the Channings Hotel, weather looks good here, anyone fancy meeting up beforehand?

wow that was fun and tough, worst part was having to drag myself to Seaton to get lift home, the number 2 cycle route, although beautiful, is an absolute fucker!
yeah, train from Exmouth is about £40, which is a drag,
