  • I'll contact the Banani shop and enquire about decals!

  • If you decide to let it go, give me a ring.

Chris was dreaming if he thought he could get away with a 58.5!

    I ride 58-59 and I'm 6.2.

  • They have the best freaking typography:

Think I'm gonna keep it ;)
But if not, i'll let you know first dude.

Yeah i'm just over 6ft, this is slightly smaller than my other bikes which have been closer to 60 (I have freakishly long legs) but fingers crossed it will be ok!

  • @Velocio - yeah i'm into their logo, barring the B... Something about it annoys me.
I'm yet to contact the shop... But have redrawn the logo in Illustrator if i need to get some decals made up as a fallback. Ha.

  • Looking forward to seeing the bike I bought you get built and finished!

  • You didn't buy it for me, but yeah.

  • Couple of pics during painting... The red has come out quite a dark shade - thankfully, as that what I wanted - and completely different to the cap colour, haaaa! Currently 2 cans of colour in, after a can of primer.

Trying hard to resist the urge to rush this. haaaa... so I think I'm going to throw 1 more can of colour at it, after sanding down a few of the orange-peeled and rough bits before a can of clear laquer on top, which is needed cos it's a pearlescent colour.

That's providing halfords has the colour in stock, waahhhh. I best go check.

  • Another photo..

  • This is going to look at least above average.

  • ^ 'fuckin A' was what you were looking for, Chris :D

  • So, when are you selling it to me?

  • So, when are you selling it to me?

Dunno, when i've built it up and worked out if I need to shorten my legs or not to ride it?

  • Further pics... Finished spraying and laquering the Banani. It's come out pretty good considering it's a rattlecan job!

Going to leave the paint to harden up for a week or two still, before building. Still need to give the chrome a bit of a scrub and polish too.

I rested the forks and wheels in there just to for kicks too... Looking forward to getting this built fully!

Apologise for the shite iPhone pics again... Need to take some proper ones.

  • looks like you did an excellent paint job, when i've rattle canned i cured it on top on the boiler, but I don't suppose anyone will be running theirs in this weather.

  • The bike is up and built now... Need to take some pics ASAP.

  • About time, I hope the proper decals are on it!

  • They are not... I have had a word...

  • Need to get some made up

  • Yup.

  • Been a while since I've updated anything here... The Banani is fully built. Well, it was, I needed a chain for my BMX so I stole the one of this (nothing fancy don't worry) and promptly snapped it. It's been chainless since. That was 6 months ago.

Here are a couple of pics of it finally built, all be it 6 months back, and with ugly, completely out of context, pedals and straps off my pub bike...

Since, I've made a couple of component changes. (Nitto Pearl stem, Nitto AA drops, Nitto Jag seatpost... new chain) plus i've got stickers made up, which arrived today. And prompted me to make this update.

Gonna take a few snaps when the stickers are on and it's kinda finished.
    Kinda.

  • Oh so nice! Love the red !

  • Interesting outfit you are wearing Ben.

  • ffs it's 2014.. men can wear panties and cut-off jeans and whatnot. reported for sjhexisjhm #notreally

  • i do think though this needs euro cockpit. coincidentally i have a 3ttt track stem for sale which ive yet unsuccesfully offloaded to @chrisbmx116. so, hit me up.

    plus, radial's gotta go...
