I should explain why I like these things so much, and also something else.

First, these are hydration tablets, you plop one into a water bottle and after a short bit of effervescence you get a sugar free and calorie free mix of electrolytes in a range of subtle and pleasant flavours.

If you go round and compare with things like SIS, High 5, etc... you'll see that these pack more electrolytes per tablet than all of the competitors products. And if, you want a caffeine perk then a couple of the flavours have that.

That is the why, but now the something else. I actually drink far more of this stuff off the bike than I do on the bike.

Mostly I drink Nuun in the office after a nice ride in (and who hydrates on a commute?). I personally find that it helps prevent the post-lunch slump, and I like the fact that a Nuun works out to be a fraction of the cost of something like a can of Pret fizzy drink or whatever else I might be tempted with. And yeah I do drink it on the bike when doing major rides, but the fact is I drink way more of this stuff on a daily basis off the bike. Bought one of each multipack.

Was hoping UK VAT, would be removed for delivery outside of the EU. Would have pushed 8 tubes of different flavour NUUNs under £20 notes. But it wasnt, and delivery was a tenner. So I've had it delivered to my parents.

Christms is going to be one of those visits where I spend the first hour explaining away the mountain of bike gear in my parents spare room again.
