Go home Skully, you are drunk. Again.
If he's drunk, he must be at home, because he doesn't really go out.

Yeah!
it lives! Yeah!

If there weren't cyclists being killed on the roads all the time, it might even be funny.
As I said to Stickles Fred on facebook last week...
"I'm sorry cyclists die in every city, but it doesn't help to validate your point. If you're going to write me something like that I expect you to write all the other people who have done death to locals tees (which are made in a sense of turf wars) which you don't seem to "get". Also try writing to bands like the killers or megadeth if you so strongly oppose such wordplay."

Lolo's list is a good start but here are 10 of my own personal judgemental stereotypes:
Why not see how many out of ten YOU score?
3-4: roadie
3.5 and I've barely touched a real bike this year.

BC kit basically excludes you.
Oh. That's okay then.

The truth is Skully has been harbouring malevolent thoughts about cyclists of all hues for a long time. Whenever I was 'standing by' at 'creative' corner I used to dread seeing him approaching with that distinctive gait of his, half John Inman, half goosestepping Nazi.
I knew I was in for another ten, fifteen or even twenty minutes of unalloyed vitriol, spite and resentment. And then he'd stop talking about The St John's Ambulance service and start on cyclists.
One week it would be BMXers, the next mountain bikers. He once kept me there for a full hour while he let rip about people who rode tandems. His belief was that if they wanted to ride the same bicycle they should have their bodies sewn together (an idea later picked up for the film Human Centipede) and then be nailed, Christ like, to a unicycle.
So it's not surprising that he is now picking on 'roadies'. Eventually perhaps he will tire of cyclists and move on to another subject. For a while he would sometimes divert in to spittle-flecking invective about The Samaritans, towards whom he seemed to bear a long-held resentment, but then he would always return to 'bastard cyclists'. It's sad really....
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to wiganwill again.

To be fair, what do they even do? Sit around on the phone all day and night, bunch of lazy pricks.

Maybe its just a lycra thing as opposed to the bike. I remember XCing with my uncle over the South Downs when I was about 13, and him being adamant that 45miles was good enough to wear lycra, so I ended up having to wear it. I used to do mountain bike trials at the time, never worn lycra in my life, but got called a 'loser' by some MTBers as we rode into Eastbourne.
I felt outcasted by my own kind, just for wearing spandex.

As an actual surfer I think all the locals only stuff is beyond childish. I know you skate and if you have to assoiate yourself with something you see as cool to make yourself feel cool then go ahead. But for me slogans like this, attitudes such as locals only are just so lame. The kids from dogtown were kids, hence all the childish behaviour, you are a 30+ year old man... Death to roadies is so lame, I have to agree that with the number of cycle deaths on the roads it's just distasteful. But I know what you're like so I guess you love being the at the centre of the controversy. But it's probably the reason everyone left fgldn and you keep on needing recruit new 'riders'.

But the kids from dogtown were trying to stop people getting in their way at their spot, and fucking it up by getting impaled on a rusty iron girder and drawing attention of authority to the spot. It isn't 'lame'. Some of them weren't 'kids', but had every right to defend their spot. I should say my knowledge of this is entirely from the Z boys film so correct me if I'm wrong. As an Actual Surfer you should probably appreciate the desire to keep your spots quiet. We used to do this a bit in Milton Keynes where I grew up skating, cos spots were getting ruined by tons of people descending on them. There was one in particular that was A Secret.
FGL's Fixed Only / Death to Roadies dogtown reference is really good IMO. There's no reason to be nasty about FGL. This thread was started to take the piss, but not personal attacks. Roadies v Fixies is already quite a Masdebate, we didn't start it. Just hang out at where roadies are (your nearest fund management boardroom) and hear the 'riding without brakes is totally irresponsible' routine.

^ what skully said.
Also, it's been 2 years since you did a runner and secretly moved out whilst I was away... I cut you off from everything that I had let you in on (Fixed Magazine & Fixedgearlondon) because you still owe me £800 for rent which I stupidly paid for you.
Why now are you poking at FGL / me? Is it not going too well with juliet? Are you planning on moving back to London? Have you got my £800?! (doubt it)
Keep the money and don't comment on what I do. You don't deserve to anymore because you are irrelevant.
I stopped caring 2 years ago, I don't care now.
You are an asshole and always will be. Sadly that's how you get ahead in this world. I'm sure you will go far Dave Noakes, especially with that nice girlfriend of yours who suits you down to the ground.
I was willing to let this go. This is my final remark.

attacking someone by making remarks about their partner, is this really appropriate?

I am baffled as to what you edited, your comments about someone's partner are completely out of order.

Really doesn't sound like it. I couldn't care what the beef is, and FWIW, have lent money to friends with no hope of getting it back, but this is not the place to air those sorts of issues. You're not painting yourself in a flattering light
Will ends the thread in style.
