"You got to ride your bike like you ride your wife."
NagasawaNot really sitting down properly to avoid getting bits nipped during bumpy stages? ;)
...lovely parts for a build out of love. I can imagine it's not a pleasant feeling to sell hope it goes to a good home.
Me? Way too short. That's my excuse, sticking to it.

Hence why it's on sale for about £500 less than I paid for it and it was mostly NO80'sS about 4 weeks ago.....
I'd be surprised if you get anything near those prices - what you paid and what they're worth now are two different things. (I briefly toyed with selling my Samson - a very similar build to yours - and it wasn't worth it in the end.)
I hope you do - selling bikes is heartbreaking enough. Good luck!

Johnny, you're wrong. The grouppo/wheelset is expensive, yes. But not overpriced by any stretch of the imagination.

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay.
I personally, wouldn't pay that much for it - it's not NOS anymore, it's used - but someone else might. It's a lovely build so might just get someone excited enough. I hope it does, selling something like that is hard enough.

Haha I was waiting for the first "what someone is willing to pay for it" comment.
Just read the back end of the add and what I wrote above!
-
• #34
Writing it doesn't turn it back into NOS.
Good luck, though.

Great offer, but if you want to make even more money - take it apart, clean it and sell on eBay.
-
• #36
some one should buy it just for the photo sequence which is cool as fuck.
-
• #37
Correct.....once again, hence why it's about £500 cheaper than what I paid for it!

Yeah, I thought I'd just get it over and done with.
Of course, you've also taken a lot of the hard work out of building a bike like that by sourcing the components - that's also worth a little bit of a premium as some people don't want to spend the time searching for NOS crank bolts etc.
Anyway, just don't sell it! You'll only regret it.

This would probably be the best way.

Just curious, what bike do you use for commuting now?
-
• #41
You rang?

If you like what you see and you want to talk about it just ping me a message.
No harm in asking.
Got interest on most parts now but ideally looking for nothing to be left over before I start concluding sales.
Will update thread fully and reply comprehensively to all PM's by Friday when I get two days of 4am shifts out of the way and I'm back on planet earth.

You know what would make your rides more comfortable and enjoyable?
Risers, clinchers, a hardshell on the back and a GP4000s on the front....
This is one of those bikes that should be kept.
-
• #45
You can't get rid of that fear of scratching / chipping your pornographic frame and components though...
I'd sell the parts but keep the frame - poverty doesn't have to last for ever. -

ncjlee pls, I dinged my near mint Condor the first weekend I had it, then scratched the fuck out of it using it to tour through France. Bikes are made to be ridden and enjoyed.
-
• #47
but it was a condor.

• #48
and?

Bikes are made to be ridden and enjoyed.
Defs agree with this, which is why I could never do one of these builds - I'd ride it too much and then take a massive financial hit in the ensuing depreciation.

Always got time for a big chainring. :)
but sad to see you selling man, good luck
