Judging by the brake tracks, these wheels have seen fairly limited use. Despite that the bearings aren't particularly smooth. They are also quite a bit out of true in some places. That said, they do look awesome ;)

After ditching the Centaur groupset, I set off to the attic to see if it had something to offer for the bike. After sorting out all the parts that were up there, I ended up with no less than 9 more or less complete groupsets, including a really nice Shimano 600 tricolor 8 speed groupset.
The shifters were not functioning, but half a can of degreaser quickly fixed that. Aside from the cranks, all the parts are now in great shape and they look very nice on the frame. While I was at it I also changed the saddle for a Turbo, which in turn I changed for a Flite, but neither look the part.
I will put up some pictures tomorrow.

Below is a picture of the most recent setup.
The more I look at the Flite saddle, the more I am starting to like it. The yellow stitching and logo matches the yellow on the frame very nicely. I am going to try to clean up the fabric sides today, to see if I can get it to look ever better.
I am thinking of doing a single ring front setup, but not sure about that yet.
@wataka21: Those Stronglight cranks are very nice. They did a nicer one though, although I am not sure how long it will take to get my hands on them

Flite looks good.
That would look the business! Love those Stronglight cranks. Failing that I've got the Track 2000 on my track bike and think they look pretty good too.

The Pearson is still in the making. In the meantime I found another cool frame though (the one in the front).

Do you have any bikes the actually work? Love that new frame though

Jealous doesn't cover it.. great bike

The only working bike I own right now is an Alan Alu Cross. It is one of the best riding bikes and also the cheapest bike I have ever owned, so I am not really in a hurry to finish things (unfortunately).

Than Alan sure is lovely, you seem to have a great stable! +1 on the Jealous scale

Here are some shots I just took of the Zipp (2001 right?) frame. The frame was a team issue for the Dutch national squad.
It appears be in great condition. I didn't get the Zipp rear brake with the frame, but I suppose I can use something similar. The beam appears to be missing a bolt to fix it from the top, but again this shouldn't be to difficult to solve.
Pearson or Zipp, that's the question...
