  • Wow, I had no idea this forum indulged in the ridiculousness of the 'EDC'.

    My contribution - http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8173/8045549185_13bb4a8b5c_o.jpg

    As for digital maps vs real maps;
If you want to get to know a place, take your eyes off the twatnav and keep them on the road. There are probably enough road signs to get you where you want to go. It is incredibly unlikely that you will become genuinely lost.
For the times when you are, paper maps are often superior when it comes to calming the fuck down and actually realising where you need to go next.
Digital maps and GPS are useful, but I'm astonished how many people see them as indispensable.

  • Der, if you people ditched all that cycling bollocks you'd have much lighter bags.

  • 1.Stuff

(left my lock at work today)

  • sumo repped, glad someone's got a bag as messy as mine

  • You are breaking the law btw

Also Opinels have a locking blade, so it's not just the length.

Did it occur to you that maybe I have a good reason?

My job required me to cut a lot of cardboard up.

That's why I've got this one - no locking blade and 6cm long

  • i think we have uncovered the cause of TS's bad back

    Boom!

    (wait for mine)

  • personally I'm with this guy

  • BTW My back is now A1/100%... Pilates FTW...

^ That's a light load BTW, I'm generaly also carrying my laptop/charger, two polo mallets, knee pads, elbow pads, hurling helmet and polo balls (beer) etc...

  • My load is light when I walk/drive (I think it was here already):

    • sketcher's watercolours,
    • Moleskine watercolour pad,
    • Konica 35mm zone finder,
    • 31trum pencil case, phone case, speed wallet
    • Faber Castell watercolour pencil sharpener
    • Sanyo 1970s watch
    • some pens and erasers, mini cigars, first aid, knife inside the pencil case

As I cycle again, I carry much more on the bike, but only 2-3 times a week and on a short distance. Picture tomorrow.

  • That pencil case is awesome.
