  • I'm also quite excited by it all. Awsome project.

  • did you bend the chain stays your self?
if so, you could bend fork blades the same way.
if they were pre bend you could buy another set and use as fork blades?

  • Fill them with sand and use a pipe bender/make some dies and bend them?

  • Made a wooden die and clamp. Chain stays sure took some bending though, pretty much all my weight/strength using about 1m meter of extension over the length of the stay. You have to bend around 2 to 3 times further than you want as the steel is very springy, you have to keep them in a straight plane, and do two exactly the same! I could really do with a hydraulic press. Still, its an improvement on last time:

  • Just when I thought your last work was the pinnacle of your awesomeness, you just one up yourself on this.

  • Finally, some quality 'me' time in the shed! Main triangle tacked up:

  • Awesome work.

  • Slowest build ever, but progress has finally been made!

(seat stays not fixed yet, in case you were wondering about the strange position of the tops)

Second set of stays are half made, seat post cluster still needs brazing, and the fork is still just a bunch of parts - maybe have it finished for next summer. Or maybe the one after.

  • Impressively awesome.

  • Good effort..I wish I could do that.

  • My shed envy is strong.

  • Subscribed.
    Nice drawers.

I'm blaming Edscoble for this. It was all his idea. I said it couldn't be done, but oh no. It's easy he says.

[sorry that's a bit big. Opera doesn't give me any resizing options...]

  • I didn't see you keeping up with me to pin the blame on me this morning lad.

  • Haha!

    This one came out better:

  • More blades in the post! I shall have bendy Scoble forks!

(Nice to see you this morning, Ed.)

  • Someone should photoshopped "this what happen when you listen to ed" to that photo.

  • Or just, "Thanks, Ed"

  • Awesome bendiness. Is there much reason for bendy forks/stays other than aesthetics?

  • So we can recognised that the bike belong to walrus.

  • How did I miss this?!

  • Finally! Some progress:

New fork blades have arrived too, and I now have a matching not-fucked-up pair with a double curve to match the chain-stays. Really hoping to braze them up soon, but I have a run of children's birthday parties, missions to find a cello, presentations and sunday lunches coming up, so this might continue to drag...

  • Whats the TT on this? is it just me, or is it looking a bit
