Ok so lots of dibs but none genuine it seems. Back on the market, heading to eBay if no takers. Or yet another build I can't quite let go of. We'll see...

Just thought you might like to know that the frame will soon be rebuilt. I got knocked off last tuesday and my beloved tourer most likely written-off. Soooo, while I look for a new frame I need something to commute on and I'm going to get some gears on this one.
Have a partial dura ace groupset from the early 90s, which will be combined with wheels, bars and other odds and ends from my old bike till I get some more appropriate bits. Not going to end up a full retro build, more like someone who's owned it for a good few years upgrading as they go.

So I nearly bought some Halo Retro rims for this bike, looking for something to mimic polished steel 27" wheels, but then I found the H Plus Son TB14 rims, which are beautiful. Don't think you can really market a retro rim if it's as deep as the Halos. The TB14s are boxy, more like Mavic MA-2s. They're polished, have a better braking surface and will go nicely with the tan-wall tyres I bought. Mmmm.

You have a surprisingly prescient sense of timing. I finished the bike today, photos will be taken tomorrow.

So here she is. In commuter mode, so apologies for breaking the lines with computer and clip-on mudguard mounts.
Really nice ride, drivetrain silky smooth and the wheels are great. Panaracer Pasela 23s, H plus Son TB14 rims on Ambrosio Zenith.
