Seriously sweet, a little bit a fat.
Quite a good sugar hit but make my teeth hurt. They must be 120g of sugar per 100g or something.
Cool bite-size.
An exceptionally structural integrity (crunchy). No crumbs or stickyness on your fingers but they do break.
Packet size good but a crash hazard trying to get in for the last few.**Overall: 6/10

The search continues ...Might be worth adding that they're vegans as well, great for those looking for an OTP vegans treat.

Albeit something that I reckon everyone here has eaten on a ride before, I heartily recommend Soreen. Tastes great and easy to eat on the move. And DIRT cheap. You can get an enormous loaf for £1 when it's on sale in supermarkets.
I compared the nutrition /100g to cliff bars and they're very similar in terms of carbs, have less fat, but less protein (off the top of my head... that may be slightly wrong).
On Torq, I concur on the gels - pretty tasty. The flavours of the bars are a bit odd though - are they good?

Soreen is amazeballs.
But its too easy to eat if you have no self control and its just there. -

Oh yes. I use it as a vessel to transport peanut butter into my gob rather than a spoon

Just realised I'm getting confused with mule bars here. Not tried torq except a couple of gels

No I make biscuits,
300g honey, 150g oats, 150g oat bran, 300g flower, 300g olive oil spread, 2 teaspoons baking soda.
Heat honey and oil until mixed & mix the dry-stuffs together (flower oats and oat bran).
Then pour half the dry mix into the wet mix, then put flavouring (mixed fruits and berries for me), then mix in the rest of the dry mix.
Make ping pong size ball then squidge them on to a baking tray and cook until brown at 200ish degrees.
Honey can be swapped for sugar and oil for butter but they wont be as healthy.
Good for the road as honey is fast release berries are fast but slower than honey then oats are slower but last a while.
and biscuits are firmer than flapjacks so don't fall apart so much.

The olive oil mentioned in the receipt should be olive oil spread not actual oil else it's wayyyy too greasy

Worth noting that it's free energy food season at the moment had to stop to stuff my face with blackberries.

No shit, it's raspberries galore out here.

Free energy food season? What?

Best berries are from woodland trails sooo juicy. I have a blueberry bush on the windowsill which has just come to the end of its fruit, but, the lemon tree next to it has just started :)

I've known about it for a ges but only recently got my hands on it... BANANA SOREEN. Had my first go on it this morning on a session in Regent's Park. By god, it's amazing. So so good.
And one of your five a day.

Sounds like using gels on a commute. How many laps of regents park were you doing that you needed to carry fuel?

Banana Soreen sound so fucking amazing and I'm leaving this God forsaken country in 8 hours, argh.

I was doing some reps of Swains and Highgate West Hill too. It was over 50 miles from my house, doing the session, then to work.
Had only had some PB smeared on banana for brekkie, and it was only about 50g of soreen.... that OK?

So I have 8 bars of a box of Clif bars that I haven't got around to using. Problem is the 'Use By' date is May 2011...
They're packaged in a foil-lined wrapper and I would still use them, however I don't do much riding at the moment.
If anyone wants to risk their health, I'll happily post these for £2 to cover myHermes P&P. They're going in the bin otherwise.

Give them to the homeless. They've probably fermented a little.

Will they get me drunk?

Maybe useful as a Warfarin substitute?
The gingerbread ones use almonds and pecans so are my choice. The others use cashew nuts >>>>>
